Oddvar Einarson
Oddvar Einarson (born 7 February 1949) is a Norwegian movie director. He made his debut with the film '' Time i nyttelære'' in 1967 and has since directed a number of films, some of the best known being: '' Kampen om Mardøla'' (1972), '' Prognose Innerdalen'' (1981), ''X'' (1986), ''Karachi'' (1989) and '' Havet stiger'' (1990). In 1987 he won the Norwegian movie award Amanda for best Norwegian film: X. The ''Great Norwegian Encyclopedia'' ( no, Store Norske Leksikon, abbreviated ''SNL''), is a Norwegian-language online encyclopedia. The online encyclopedia is among the most-read Norwegian published sites, with more than two million unique visitors per month. Paper editions 1978–2007 The ''SNL'' was created in 1978, when the two publishing houses Aschehoug and Gyldendal merged their encyclopedias and created the company Kunnskapsforlaget. Up until 1978 the two publishing houses of Aschehoug and Gyldendal, Norway's two largest, had published ' and ', respectively. The respective first editions were published in 1907–1913 (Aschehoug) and 1933–1934 (Gyldendal). The slump in sales for paper-based encyclopedias around the turn of the 21st century hit Kunnskapsforlaget hard, but a fourth edition of the paper encyclopedia was secured by a grant of ten million Norwegian kroner from the foundation Fritt Ord in 2003. X (1986 Film)
X is a Norwegian film from 1986. The play was directed by Oddvar Einarson, and starred Bettina Banoun and Jørn Christensen. The film started through the collective ''Film Group 84'', and was completed by Einarson own production company. X was released on DVD in 2010, with a lengthy interview with the director as extras. Plot Jon Gabriel is a young photo artist who is skilled in his field, but helpless in dealing with people. 13-year-old Flora is homeless, but experienced in life. The film depicts the evolution of the relationship between the two as they struggle to survive. Cinematic Style X is a low-budget film, reflected in its raw and unvarnished style. The film is set in Oslo, but there is a point in the movie that it should not be connected directly to a particular location.
