Oddities (TV Series)
''Oddities'' is a half-hour documentary/reality television program which follows the operation of an East Village, Manhattan shop which trades in antiques and other rarities. The show premiered on November 4, 2010, and airs on the Discovery Channel and its sister network, the Science Channel. ''Oddities'' focuses on the day-to-day operation of Obscura Antiques & Oddities, and stars co-owners Mike Zohn and Evan Michelson and buyer Ryan Matthew Cohn, with appearances by other employees and customers. The store's employees search flea markets, personal collections, auctions, and antique shows for unique and unusual artifacts. Odd items bought and sold by the shop or featured on the show have included a mummified cat, a rhesus monkey skull, art made from nail clippings, and a straitjacket. Matthew Gray Gubler (, ; born March 9, 1980) is an American actor, filmmaker, fashion model, painter, illustrator, director, and author. He is best known for his role as criminal profiler Dr. Spencer Reid in the CBS television show ''Criminal Minds'', for which he directed several episodes. Gubler has appeared in ''The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou'', ''(500) Days of Summer'', '' Life After Beth'', ''Suburban Gothic'', and '' Newness.'' Edgar Oliver
Edgar Oliver (born October 31, 1956) is an American stage and film actor, poet, performance artist and playwright. He is considered a "legend" of the downtown New York theater scene and is known for his distinctive accent and diction. Early life Edgar Oliver was born in Savannah, Georgia, the son of Edgar Joseph Oliver Jr. and Mary Louise Gibson. His father died (of a morphine overdose) in Dallas, Texas before he was born. He and his older sister Helen (a painter) were raised by their mother Louise, residing on 36th Street. Louise died when he was 27 years old. Stanley Lloyd Kaufman Jr. (born December 30, 1945) is an American film director, screenwriter, producer and actor.
