Odd Børretzen
Odd Lunde Børretzen (21 November 1926 – 3 November 2012) was a Norwegian author, illustrator, translator, and one of the most significant text writers, folk singers and artists in Norway. Biography Børretzen was born in Fister in the Hjelmeland municipality as the son of the preacher Jacob Børretzen. When Odd was three years old, his family moved to Grorud in Oslo; his childhood is related in the self-biographic ''Min barndoms verden'' (My Childhood World, 1997; filmed as '' Da jeg traff Jesus … med sprettert'', 2000). Later in life, between 1946 and 1952, he worked as a telegrapher among other things. He debuted as an author in 1959 with his self-illustrated children's book ''Byen som laget brannbil'' (The city that made a firetruck). Odd Børresen
Odd Børresen (August 19, 1923 – January 22, 2010) was a Norwegian linguist, preacher, and missionary in the present-day Democratic Republic of the Congo, where he was involved with schools and education. Life Børresen was born in Sætre in the municipality of Hurum, where he and his seven siblings grew up in a Christian home. In 1942, at the age of 19, he moved to Oslo for further education. He studied history and learned several languages: French, English, and Swahili. He was particularly accomplished with languages, especially Swahili, and had a master's degree in Swahili. Julius Hougen
Julius Hougen (7 November 1906 – 19 December 1993) was a Norwegian jurist and radio personality. He became known as the voice from Sørlandet over a period of more than forty years, eventually as a leader of the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation's district office in Kristiansand. Early career and personal life Hougen was born in Kristiansand as the son of lecturer Paul Fredrik Hougen and Aagot Sofie Svendsen. He finished had his secondary education at the Kristiansand Cathedral School in 1925. He was cand.jur. from 1930, and finished the Police School in 1932. The broadcasting company was established as an office in Kristiansand in 1930, with Olaf Benneche as leader and Hougen as his assistant. Spellemannprisen, often referred to as the Norwegian Grammy Awards in English, is a Norwegian music award presented to Norwegian musicians. The award was established by the International Federation of the Phonographic Industry (IFPI), an organization that represents the interests of the recording industry worldwide. The online encyclopedia is among the most-read Norwegian published sites, with more than two million unique visitors per month. Leonard Statuette
''Leonardstatuetten'' (Leonard Statuette) is a prize awarded by the Norwegian Comedy Writers' Association. The award is named after revue instructor, composer and director Einar Leonard Schanke (1927–1992), who was one of Norway's most important revue personalities. The prize is regarded the highest distinction in Norwegian revue.
