Oculus Quill
Quill is a painting and animation software for virtual reality. It runs on Microsoft Windows with Oculus Rift headsets. It's used to create 3D paintings and animated cartoons. Quill was released on November 29, 2016 on the Oculus Store. Quill Theater, an application for viewing creations made in Quill, was later made available following the release of the Oculus Quest. In September 2021, Facebook, now the owner of Oculus, sold Quill to its original creator, who continues to develop and support the app. Development Quill was originally developed by Oculus Story Studio as an internal tool for the creative needs of the studio's project ''Dear Angelica'' directed by Saschka Unseld along with its art-director Wesley Allsbrook. Windows 10 is a major release of Microsoft's Windows NT operating system. It is the direct successor to Windows 8.1, which was released nearly two years earlier. Oculus Quest
The Oculus Quest is a virtual reality (VR) headset developed by Oculus, a division of Meta, Inc., released on May 21, 2019. Similar to its predecessor, Oculus Go, it is a standalone device that can run games and software wirelessly under an Android-based operating system. It supports positional tracking with six degrees of freedom, using internal sensors and an array of cameras in the front of the headset rather than external sensors. The cameras are also used as part of the safety feature "Passthrough", which shows a view from the cameras when the user exits their designated boundary area. Oculus Story Studio
Oculus Story Studio was an original animated virtual reality film studio that was a division of Oculus VR. The studio was started by Oculus VR to pioneer animated virtual reality filmmaking and educate, inspire, and foster community for filmmakers interested in VR. Story Studio was founded in 2014 by Pixar veterans Saschka Unseld and Max Planck, as well as producer Edward Saatchi. The studio was publicly announced and premiered its first film, Lost, at the 2015 Sundance Film Festival.
