Octoberon
''Octoberon'' is the seventh studio album by Barclay James Harvest, released in 1976. The band had hoped that Elliot Mazer would again produce, but after hanging around in San Francisco for six weeks, they were forced to return home and produce it themselves. In 2003 a remastered CD was issued with five bonus tracks. In 2017 a 3-disc CD/DVD special edition was released. This features new stereo and surround mixes in addition to the remastered originals, plus the 2003 bonus tracks, one new bonus track, and two videos. Critical reception In the UK music magazine ''Sounds'', Tim Lott expressed his frustration with the album, saying, "Unfortunately, ''Octoberon'' is no major departure from heirdisappointing formula. But despite that, there are some fine, imaginative moments which point once again to the never-fulfilled potential." ''Time Honoured Ghosts'' is the sixth studio album released by the English rock group, Barclay James Harvest in October 1975. The title was suggested by the wife of Harvey Lisberg, the band's manager at the time, though it is believed that she was quoting from another unknown source. It was recorded between May and July 1975 at the "His Masters Wheels" studio in San Francisco. It was produced by Elliot Mazer and released in October on the Polydor Records label. Track listing In 2021, the album was again remastered with a DVD which had a 5.1 surround sound version of the original tapes of this album. Also included on the DVD are promotional films for "Jonathan", "Titles", "Moongirl", "One Night", and "Beyond The Grave". Gone To Earth (Barclay James Harvest Album)
Gone to Earth is the eighth studio album by the English rock group Barclay James Harvest released in 1977. Background "Poor Man's Moody Blues" was written after a journalist angered the band by referring to Barclay James Harvest as a "poor man's Moody Blues". In response, guitarist John Lees wrote a song which sounded like the Moody Blues song " Nights in White Satin", but in fact was cleverly not the same - the words would not fit. Justin Hayward was not pleased; meeting him years later, bassist Les Holroyd apologised for it. Other songs on the album deal with subjects like ended relationships ("Friend of Mine"), alienation ("Leper's Song") the exploitation of animals for their fur ("Spirit on the Water") and the space race ("Sea of Tranquility"). The album's title, ''Gone to Earth,'' refers to the fox hunter's cry used to indicate that the quarry has returned to its lair. The ''Billboard'' 200 is a record chart ranking the 200 most popular music albums and EPs in the United States. It is published weekly by '' Billboard'' magazine and is frequently used to convey the popularity of an artist or groups of artists. ''The Old Grey Whistle Test'' (sometimes abbreviated to ''Whistle Test'' or ''OGWT'') is a British television music show. The show was devised by BBC producer Rowan Ayers, commissioned by David Attenborough and aired on BBC2 from 1971 to 1988. It took over the BBC2 late-night slot from '' Disco 2'', which ran between September 1970 and July 1971, while continuing to feature non-chart music. The original producer, involved in an executive capacity throughout the show's entire history, was Michael Appleton. ''Top of the Pops'' (''TOTP'') is a British Record chart, music chart television programme, made by the BBC and originally broadcast weekly between 1January 1964 and 30 July 2006. The programme was the world's longest-running weekly music show. For most of its history, it was broadcast on Thursday evenings on BBC One. Each show consisted of performances of some of the week's best-selling popular music records, usually excluding any tracks moving down the chart, including a rundown of that week's singles chart. Yes are an English progressive rock band formed in London in 1968 by lead singer and frontman Jon Anderson, bassist Chris Squire, guitarist Peter Banks, keyboardist Tony Kaye and drummer Bill Bruford.
