Oceania Cup
The Oceania Cup is an international men's field hockey competition organised by Oceania Hockey Federation (OHF). It is held every two years to determine which teams will receive an automatic berth to the Men's FIH Hockey World Cup and Summer Olympics. Only Australia and New Zealand have reached the finals as of 2015. Australia has won all titles. 1999 Men's Oceania Cup
The 1999 Men's Oceania Cup was the second edition of the men's field hockey tournament. It was held from 13 to 16 May 1999 in Brisbane, Australia. The tournament served as a qualifier for the 2000 Summer Olympics. Australia won the tournament for the first time, defeating New Zealand in the three–game series, with two wins and one loss. Buderim
Buderim ( ) is an urban centre on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland, Australia. It sits on a mountain which overlooks the southern Sunshine Coast communities. In the , the urban area of Buderim had a population of 54,483. The name "Buderim" is usually believed to be derived from a local Kabi Kabi Aboriginal word for the hairpin honeysuckle, (Badderam) '' Banksia spinulosa var. collina''. Field Hockey At The Pacific Games ...
Hockey at the Pacific Games (known as the South Pacific Games until 2009) was introduced as a tournament for men's teams in 1979. Hockey was not played again until 2003 when a women's tournament was included in the schedule for Suva. At the 2015 Pacific Games in Port Moresby the format was changed from eleven-a-side to five-a-side, and both men's and women's tournaments were hosted. Rockhampton is a city in the Rockhampton Region of Central Queensland, Australia.
