Obey The Law (1933 Film)
''Obey the Law'' is a 1933 American Pre-Code crime drama film released by Columbia Pictures. Plot A good-hearted and patriotic Italian immigrant barber Tony Pasqual (Leo Carrillo) who takes pity on embittered war veteran Bob Richards (Eddie Garr). When Richards robs him, Pasqual responds by helping Richards find a job. Richards dies while trying to rescue young Dickie Chester (Dickie Moore) from illicit gambling, and Pasqual takes in Chester and his mother (Lois Wilson). Big Joe Reardon (Henry Clive) is unsuccessful in using public displays of charitable good deeds to fool Pasqual into believing that he's not the neighborhood crime boss, so he has the barber shop destroyed. Pasqual gets Reardon apprehended by the police by telling his story on radio. Ward Bond
Wardell Edwin Bond (April 9, 1903 – November 5, 1960) was an American film character actor who appeared in more than 200 films and starred in the NBC television series ''Wagon Train'' from 1957 to 1960. Among his best-remembered roles are Bert the cop in Frank Capra's ''It's a Wonderful Life'' (1946) and Captain Clayton in John Ford's ''The Searchers'' (1956). Early life Bond was born in Benkelman in Dundy County, Nebraska. The Bond family, John W., Mabel L., and sister Bernice, lived in Benkelman until 1919 when they moved to Denver, Colorado, where Ward graduated from East High School. Bond attended the Colorado School of Mines and then went to the University of Southern California and played football on the same team as future USC coach Jess Hill. Henry Clive
Henry Clive (October 3, 1883–December 12, 1960) was an Australian-born American graphic artist and illustrator. Clive is known particularly for his illustrations in ''The American Weekly'' and cover series, which were posed for by screen celebrities. Life and works Clive was born Henry O'Hara in Australia and spent his childhood on a sheep ranch outside Melbourne. In later years Clive moved to Hollywood, acted in silent films and became an art director in Charlie Chaplin's productions, where he starred as a villain in ''City Lights''. In 1950, Clive married former actress Acquanetta who then returned to acting for several years. When she retired from the movies in 1953, she became a disk jockey for radio station KPOL (AM) in Los Angeles. Clive's 1925 Art Deco illustration ''Sultana'' for the Louis F. Bryan Foy (December 8, 1896 – April 20, 1977) was an American film producer and director. He produced more than 200 films between 1924 and 1963. He also directed 41 films between 1923 and 1934. He headed the B picture unit at Warner Bros. where he was known as "the keeper of the B's". Biography He was born in Chicago, Illinois, on December 8, 1896. He was the eldest son of the vaudeville star Eddie Foy and appeared with his father in the vaudeville act "Eddie Foy and The Seven Little Foys." The act broke up when Bryan Foy left to join the U.S. Army in World War I in 1918, after which his remaining siblings continued performing with their father under the title, "Eddie Foy and the Younger Foys", through 1923, when their father retired.
