These dreams were squashed by the surging Elora Mohawks squad in the League Finals. 2006 playoff run Finishing the 2006 season 19-1-0, their only loss came at the hands of the Mimico Mountaineers late in the season. The first round pitted them against the Halton Hills Bulldogs, whom they swept in three games. The Quarter-final was against Scarborough Saints, another three game sweep. Mimico Mountaineers
The Mimico Mountaineers or Mimico Lacrosse Club is a Jr. A box lacrosse association in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The Mountaineers operate junior-age and younger teams. Their home arena is Mimico Arena in the Mimico neighbourhood of Toronto. Beginning in 2015, their primary junior team will be a member of the Ontario Junior A Lacrosse League. From 1993 until 2014, the Mountaineers were members of the Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League. History The Mimico Lacrosse Club was established in 1890 as a field lacrosse organization. In 1931, when the Canadian Lacrosse Association chose the box lacrosse game as its new form of play, the Mimico Lacrosse Club built an outdoor box at the corner of Church Street (Royal York) and Drummond Street, where the game has been played continuously until today. Windsor AKO Fratmen Lacrosse Team
The Windsor Clippers is a Canadian junior box lacrosse team and members of the Ontario Junior B Lacrosse League of the Ontario Lacrosse Association. The team, from Windsor, Ontario, Canada, was known as the Windsor AKO Fratmen from 2003 until 2009 as they were sponsored by the AKO Fraternity. History The team made its expansion debut in the OLA Jr. "B" league in 2003. The team's first win was on April 30, 2003, against Wallaceburg, 21–12. In four completed seasons, the team has never failed to make the playoffs. The Fratmen hosted the 2005 Junior "B" All-Star Game, and in the team's fourth season Windsor hosted the 2006 Founders Cup. The Fratmen's first ever playoff victory came against the Six Nations Red Rebels in the 2005 Conference Semi-final.
