OKBM Afrikantov (full name: OAO I. I. Afrikantov OKB Mechanical Engineering, russian: Опытное конструкторское бюро машиностроения им. И. И. Африкантова) is a nuclear engineering company located in Nizhny Novgorod, Russia. It is a subsidiary of Rosatom. The company is named after Igor Afrikantov. The company is best known as the main designer for the Soviet Union's and Russia's flagship nuclear propulsion projects, including reactors for nuclear submarines, nuclear-powered icebreakers, and the floating nuclear power plant project. OK-650 Reactor
The OK-650 reactor is the nuclear fission reactor used for powering the Soviet Navy's Project 685 Плавник/''Plavnik'' (Mike), Project 971 Щука-Б/''Shchuka-B'' ( Akula), and Project 945 Барракуда/''Barrakuda'', Кондор/''Kondor'', and Марс/''Mars'' ( Sierra) submarines, and in pairs to power the Project 941 Акула/''Akula'' (Typhoon) and Project 949 Гранит/''Granit'' and Антей/''Antei'' ( Oscar) third generation submarines. This pressurized water reactor (PWR) uses 20-45% enriched uranium-235 fuel to produce 190 MW of thermal power. State Highway 18, abbreviated as SH-18 or OK-18, is a highway maintained by the United States, U.S. state of Oklahoma. It was once one of the longest state highways in the Oklahoma road system, but now has a total length of . VBER-300
The VBER-300 is a proposed Russian pressurized water reactor of 325-MWe generating capacity designed for remote locations. The exterior containment structure is 16 meters high and the working section, built with transportable modules, weighs 1300 tonnes. The external steam plant can have a 917 MW thermal-steam only capacity, or 325 MW steam-turbine-electrical capacity, or a mixture of capacities relating to the four primary steam loops. In particular, it has been proposed in a more powerful sister ship to the ''Akademik Lomonosov'' (2010) for possible use on the Russian floating nuclear power station (two reactors on a 49,000-tonne barge). The reactor could be used on a 200–500 MW barge that is expected to be completed by 2030. The reactor has been proposed for use in water desalination, district heating and/or electrical generation.
