Ohio's 5th congressional district is in northwestern and north central Ohio and borders Michigan and Indiana. The district is currently represented by Republican Party (United States), Republican Bob Latta. The district borders have changed somewhat from the previous redistrict as some of the easternmost counties were redistricted to other districts. From 2003 to 2013 all of Crawford County, Ohio, Crawford, Defiance County, Ohio, Defiance, Fulton County, Ohio, Fulton,Hancock,Henry County, Ohio, Henry, Huron County, Ohio, Huron, Paulding County, Ohio, Paulding, Putnam County, Ohio, Putnam, Sandusky County, Ohio, Sandusky, Seneca County, Ohio, Seneca, Van Wert County, Ohio, Van Wert, Williams County, Ohio, Williams, and Wood County, Ohio, Wood Counties were included in this district. State Route 5 (SR 5) is an east–west state highway in the northeastern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. Its western terminus is at Interstate 76 at its interchange with State Route 44 about south of Ravenna, and its eastern terminus is at the Pennsylvania state line northeast of Kinsman; this point is also the western terminus of Pennsylvania Route 58 which begins to the east. Williams County is a county located in the U.S. state of Ohio. As of the 2020 census, the population was 37,102. Its county seat is Bryan. The county was created in 1820 and later organized in 1824. It is named for David Williams, one of the captors of John André in the American Revolutionary War.
