Outlier (TV Series)
''Outlier'' is a Norwegian eight-part television crime drama, which premiered on November 18, 2020 on HBO Nordic. In Australia it was broadcast on SBS-TV's streaming service, On Demand from April 2, 2021. ''Outlier'' was created and scripted by Kristine Berg and Arne Berggren. Berg and Berggren co-directed all episodes, assisted by Ken Are Bongo as co-director for three episodes. It was filmed in Troms and Finnmark regions from July 2020 for Shuuto Arctic and distributed by REinvent. ''Outlier''s main protagonist, Maja Angell (Hanne Mathisen Haga) investigates the murder of a young woman, who was found in Maja's fictitious home village, Nerbygd, northern Norway (near actual town, Bardufoss). Nerbygd police chief, Johan (Stein Bjørn) quickly arrests a suspect – case closed. Maja believes police have the wrong man and returns to Nerbygd to determine whether the perpetrator is a serial killer. Arne Berggren
Arne Berggren (born 26 October 1960) is a Norwegian novelist, children's writer, songwriter and rock musician. He made his literary debut in 1991. In 1992 he published ''Stillemannen'', which was awarded the Critics Prize for the year's best children's or youth's literature. Among his novels are ''Instamatic'' from 1994 and ''Webers lov'' from 1998. Øystein Rottem characterizes Berggren's writing style as laidback, with elements of black humour. His books for children and young adults treat themes such as young love, eroticism and jealousy. Berggren established a film production hub, Shuuto Arctic, at FilmCamp Nord, a former military base in Målselv. Bardufoss Airport
Bardufoss Airport ( no, Bardufoss lufthavn; ) is a primary airport situated at Bardufoss in Målselv Municipality in Troms og Finnmark county, Norway. The airport, which is the civilian sector of the Royal Norwegian Air Force's (RNoAF) Bardufoss Air Station, is operated by the state-owned Avinor. It consists of a runway, a parallel taxiway and handled 218,451 passengers in 2014. Scandinavian Airlines (SAS) operates three daily flights with Boeing 737s to Oslo. The airport's catchment area covers central Troms. The Norwegian Army Air Service completed the air station in 1938 and expanded by them and later the Luftwaffe during World War II. Norwegian Language
Norwegian ( no, norsk, links=no ) is a North Germanic language spoken mainly in Norway, where it is an official language. Øverbygd
Øverbygd is a former municipality in Troms county in Norway. The municipality existed from 1925 until its dissolution in 1964. It was located in what is now the eastern part of Målselv Municipality, stretching from the border with Sweden in the east, through the Dividalen and Rostadalen valleys to the Målselva river and the eastern part of the Målselvdalen valley. The administrative centre was the village of Skjold. Skjold was the site of the local church, Øverbygd Church as well as home to a large garrison for the Norwegian Army. Øvre Dividal National Park made up a large part of the southeastern part of the municipality. History The municipality of Øverbygd was established on 1 July 1925 when Målselv Municipality was divided into two municipalities: Målselv in the west and Øverbygd in the east.
