Other People's Heartache
''Other People's Heartache'' is a series of mixtapes by Bastille. The first was released in February 2012, the second in December 2012, the third in December 2014, and the fourth in December 2018. Part one ''Other People's Heartache'' is a cover EP, self-released by the band Bastille in February 2012. Dan Smith described the concept behind the release as being to "create a fictional film score or film soundtrack using cover versions of songs". It was released online, available free. Smith stated that the group were contacted and asked to take down the tracks. The tracks "Of the Night" and "What Would You Do?" were later released on the compilation album ''All This Bad Blood'' (2013), with the former also released as a single. Mixtape
A mixtape (alternatively mix-tape, mix tape or mixed tape) is a compilation of music, typically from multiple sources, recorded onto a medium. With origins in the 1980s, the term normally describes a homemade compilation of music onto a cassette tape, CD, or digital playlist. The songs are either ordered sequentially or made into a continuous programme by beatmatching the songs and creating seamless transitions at their beginnings and endings with fades or abrupt edits. Essayist Geoffrey O'Brien described this definition of the mixtape as "perhaps the most widely practiced American art form". In hip hop and R&B culture, a mixtape often describes a self-produced or independently released album issued free of charge to gain publicity or avoid possible copyright infringement. "Titanium" is a song by French DJ and record producer David Guetta, featuring vocals by Australian singer and songwriter Sia. Taken from Guetta's fifth studio album, ''Nothing but the Beat'', the song was written by Sia, David Guetta, Giorgio Tuinfort and Afrojack. Corona (band)
Corona is an Italian Eurodance project. Initially as a band originally formed by the Brazilian-born singer and model Olga Maria de Souza and the producer Francesco "Checco" Bontempi (a.k.a. Lee Marrow), it found commercial success with the worldwide hits "The Rhythm of the Night" (1993) and " Baby Baby" (1995). After the second album, Bontempi left the band and was replaced by Francesco Conte and Paolo Dughero. "Of the Night" is a song by British band Bastille, released on 11 October 2013 as the lead single from ''All This Bad Blood'' (2013), a reissue of their debut studio album '' Bad Blood'' (2013). The song debuted at number two on the UK Singles Chart, and has also charted in several other countries. The song was covered by Ellie Goulding at BBC Radio 1's Live Lounge. The Kronos Quartet is an American string quartet based in San Francisco. It has been in existence with a rotating membership of musicians for almost 50 years. Clint Mansell
Clinton Darryl Mansell (; born 7 January 1963) is an English musician, singer, and composer, born in Coventry. He served as the lead singer and multi-instrumentalist of alt-rock band Pop Will Eat Itself before embarking on a career as a film score composer. Mansell moved to the United States after the dissolution of the group and started working with filmmaker Darren Aronofsky.
