Macedonian Orthodox Church - Ohrid Archbishopric
The Macedonian Orthodox Church – Archdiocese of Ohrid (MOC-AO; mk, Македонска православна црква – Охридска архиепископија), or simply the Macedonian Orthodox Church (MOC) or the Archdiocese of Ohrid (AO), is an autocephalous Eastern Orthodox church in North Macedonia. The Macedonian Orthodox Church claims ecclesiastical jurisdiction over North Macedonia, and is also represented in the Macedonian diaspora. The primate of the Macedonian Orthodox Church is Stefan Veljanovski, the Metropolitan of Skopje and Archbishop of Ohrid and Macedonia. In 1959, the Holy Synod of the Serbian Orthodox Church granted autonomy to the Macedonian Orthodox Church in the then-Socialist Republic of Macedonia, as the restoration of the historic Archbishopric of Ohrid; the MOC was united with the Serbian Orthodox Church (SOC) as a part of the SOC. Venko Andonovski
Venko Andonovski (born 1964) is a Macedonian writer (novelist, short story writer, playwright, poet), essayist, critic and literary theorist. Biography Venko Andonovski graduated from the Faculty of Philology "Blaze Koneski" in Skopje. He holds a PhD in Philology and works as a professor at the Faculty of Philology "Blaze Koneski" in Skopje. Andonovski is a member of the PEN center. In 1990 he became a member of the Writers' Association of Macedonia. Personal life Venko went to High school ''Orce Nikolov'' in Skopje together with journalist Nikola Mladenov founder of Fokus newspaper. In his youth, he started writing poems, since he was a young child . His late father was Veroljub Andonovski, the Nova Makedonija journalist. He is currently married to Danka and lives in Skopje. Boris Trajanov
Boris Trajanov ( mk, Борис Трајанов, born in Ljubljana, 1959) is Macedonian operatic baritone. At the beginning, he studied singing with his father Goga Trajanov in Skopje. He continued his studies with Biserka Cvejic in Belgrade and Pier Miranda Ferraro in Milan. He made his stage debut in 1986 in the operetta ''The Gypsy Baron''. The same year followed his operatic debut as Enrico Ashton in Donizetti's ''Lucia di Lammermoor''. In his career of over 30 years, he sang in more than 700 Performances in around 100 opera stages around the world, appearing in 43 main baritone roles. His is widely regarded as one of the best interpreters of the role of Scarpia in Puccini's ''Tosca''. Lady Saso () is said to be the mother of Hyeokgeose of Silla. Also known as the ''Sacred Mother of Mt. Seondo'' (Hangul:선도산), legends say she was a princess from the Chinese royal family. Virgil Dorin Gligor (born July 30, 1949) is a Romanian-American professor of electrical and computer engineering who specializes in the research of network security and applied cryptography. Education and Career Gligor was born in Zalău and lived in Bucharest, Romania, until his late teens. He received his high school degree and baccalaureate at the Gheorghe Lazăr National College. Hari Kostov ( mk, Хари Костов) (born November 13, 1959 in s. Pishica Probištip) is a Macedonian politician who served as the Prime Minister of Macedonia from May 2004 until his resignation in November 2004. He was appointed to the position of Prime Minister by the parliament on May 31, 2004, two weeks after being nominated by President Branko Crvenkovski. Kostov was an economic advisor to the Macedonian government and the World Bank during the 1980s and 1990s. He was the interior minister in the previous government, which was led by Crvenkovski and lasted from 2002 until 2004, and ended when Crvenkovski was elected president.
