Order Of Meritorious Service To Sarawak
The ''Darjah Jasa Bakti Sarawak'' (Order of Meritorious Service to Sarawak) is the third-ranking order in the list of orders of the Sarawak State Orders, Decorations and Medals. The Order was instituted in 1997, and is limited to only 100 living recipients at one time. This order may be awarded to any civil servants or officers of statutory bodies that discharged their duties honourably and rendered excellent service to the State of Sarawak.''(Swk. An order is a visible honour awarded by a sovereign state, monarch, dynastic house or organisation to a person, typically in recognition of individual merit, that often comes with distinctive insignia such as collars, medals, badges, and sashes worn by recipients. Modern honour systems of state orders and dynastic orders emerged from the culture of orders of chivalry of the Middle Ages, which in turn emerged from the Catholic religious orders. Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak
The Darjah Yang Amat Mulia Bintang Kenyalang Sarawak (Order of the Star of Hornbill Sarawak) is the second highest order group (in the group of orders) of the orders, decorations, and medals of Sarawak. The order was instituted in 1970, and was redesigned in 1988. Two more ranks were added to the order: the 'Officer' in 1988 and the 'Companion' in 2002. The order is divided into six classes: Nomination criteria Panglima Gemilang Bintang Kenyalang (P.G.B.K.) Especially designated for men and women who rendered excellent service to the State of Sarawak for a long period of time and has strong influence with the highest display of responsibility befitting their station. The Pingat Pentadbiran Awam (Civil Administration Medal) ranks fourth in the Sarawak State Orders, Decorations and Medals list. The medal was instituted in 1973, to recognize exemplary service in Civil Service. In 1988, another two were added to the ranks, which is the 'Meritorious Service Medal' and 'Commendable Service Medal'. The 'Companion' rank was added to the list in 2010. Betong Division
Betong Division, formed on 26 March 2002, is one of the twelve administrative divisions in Sarawak, Malaysia. Formerly part of Sri Aman Division, Betong is in the Saribas area. It has a total area of 4,180.8 square kilometres, and is the smallest of the administrative divisions of Sarawak. Saribas is famous for its Iban longhouses and is regarded as the center for Iban culture. It was annexed to Sarawak by Rajah James Brooke, after his victory over the Sekrang and Saribas Iban at the Battle of Beting Maru on 31 July 1849. Universiti Malaysia Sarawak (UNIMAS; en, University of Malaysia Sarawak) is a Malaysian public university located in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak. UNIMAS was officially incorporated on 24 December 1992. Recently, UNIMAS has been ranked among top 200th in Asian University Rankings 2017 by QS World University Rankings. The university took in its first students numbering 118 in 1993 with the opening of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Faculty of Resource Science and Technology.
