Order Of Honor (Republika Srpska)
Order of Honor of Republika Srpska ( sr, Орден части) is an Order of the Republic of Srpska. It was established in 1993 by the Constitution of Republika Srpska and 'Law on orders and awards' valid since 28 April 1993. The Order of Honor has two classes. It is awarded to institutions, organizations and individuals who stand out in the affirmation of human rights, tolerance among peoples and nations, the rule of law and freedoms, as well as those individuals and organizations whose work and results contribute to strengthening the reputation of Republika Srpska. Republika Srpska
Republika Srpska ( sr-Cyrl, Република Српска, lit=Serb Republic, also known as Republic of Srpska, ) is one of the two Political divisions of Bosnia and Herzegovina, entities of Bosnia and Herzegovina, the other being the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is located in the north and east of the country. Its largest city and administrative centre is Banja Luka, lying on the Vrbas (river), Vrbas river. Republika Srpska was formed in 1992 at the outset of the Bosnian War with the stated intent to safeguard the interests of the Serbs of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Haim Bibas
Haim Bibas ( he, חיים ביבס; born 1 December 1969) is the third mayor of Modi'in-Maccabim-Re'ut, an Israeli city, in office since 2008. Bibas has lived there with his wife and three children since 1997. He is the head of The Federation of Local Authorities in Israel since 2014. Education and army service Bibas holds a bachelor's degree from the Department of Political Science, University of Haifa and a master's degree in Public Administration and Local Government, from Bar Ilan University. His thesis was on local government reform and professional city management. Bibas is a lieutenant colonel in IDF reserves. Miroslav Lazanski ( sr, Мирослав Лазански; 18 September 1950 – 3 August 2021) was а Serbian journalist, military analyst, politician, and a diplomat who served as ambassador of Serbia to the Russian Federation. Previous to his appointment, Lazanski was a Member of parliament. He wrote on political and military matters and was a correspondent and commentator for the Belgrade daily ''Politika''. The Roman Catholic Diocese of Banja Luka (Serbo-Croatian: ''Banjalučka biskupija'', Latin: ''Dioecesis Bania Lucensisis'') is a diocese of the Latin Rite of the Roman Catholic Church in western Bosnia. The diocese is centred in the city of Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina. Erected on July 5, 1881, the diocese is a suffragan of the Archdiocese of Vrhbosna, as the Diocese of Banjaluka. In 1985, the name of the diocese was split to the current diocese of Banja Luka. Bishop Franjo Komarica is head of the diocese. The original Cathedral of Saint Bonaventure in the city was built in 1887. However, an earthquake in 1969 levelled the church. Banja Luka's current cathedral was built in 1974. Franjo Komarica
Franjo Komarica (born 3 February 1946) is a Bosnian prelate of the Catholic Church, the Bishop emeritus of Banja Luka and president of the Bishops' Conference of Bosnia and Herzegovina. Early life One of eleven children, Komarica was born in Novakovići near Banja Luka, Bosnia and Herzegovina, to Ivka () and Ivo Komarica. He finished elementary school in Banja Luka, then he attended the minor seminary in Zagreb (1961–63) and Đakovo (1963–65). After completing his compulsory military service he began theological studies in Ðakovo (1967–68), and continued studying at the Faculty of Catholic Theology of the University of Innsbruck (1968–72). Srđan Aleksić
Srđan Aleksić ( sr-cyr, Срђан Алексић; 9 May 1966 – 27 January 1993), nicknamed Srđo, was a Serbs of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bosnian Serb amateur actor, prospective swimmer, and soldier in the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) during the Bosnian War. He saw his neighbour, an ethnic Bosniak, being harassed by a group of VRS soldiers, whom he then tried to stop; the soldiers turned on Aleksić, beating him with their rifle butts until he fell into a coma. He died a week later at the hospital. He has received several posthumous awards for his act, viewed of as deeply heroic in a time of bloody war.
