The Orange County Library System (OCLS) is a public library system serving the Orlando, Florida, Orlando area of Central Florida. The headquarters are in the Orlando Public Library in Downtown Orlando. The System consists of 15 total locations, the main library (Orlando Public Library) and 14 branch locations. In 2020, the library system employed over 350 staff throughout the system, serving more than one million Orange County residents. The library system is led by Steve Powell, and a five-member Library Board of Trustees. History of the Orlando Public Library The Sorosis Club of Orlando maintained a circulating library for its members. This collection was initially on the second floor of the Old Armory Building on Court Street, then moved to the Knox building at the intersection of Pine and Court Street. The University of Central Florida's Libraries is a university library system that is administered by the University of Central Florida, a metropolitan public research university located in Orlando, Florida, United States. The system, which stretches across Central Florida, includes eleven libraries of the university and provides primary support to all academic programs. Jason Reynolds (born December 6, 1983) is an American author of novels and poetry for young adult and middle-grade audience.
