Ora Alexander (born c. 1896) was an American classic female blues singer. She was a recording artist in the early 1930s, releasing eight sides, including the dirty blues Dirty blues encompasses forms of blues music that deal with socially taboo and obscene subjects, often referring to sexual acts and drug use. Due to the sometimes graphic subject matter, such music was often banned from radio and only available on ... tracks "You've Got to Save That Thing" and "I Crave Your Lovin' Every Day". Ora Anlen
Ora Anlen (née Goldstein; he, אורה אנלין; 15 August 1944 – July 10, 2022) was an Israeli Paralympic champion. Anlen was born in Kibbutz HaMa'apil. As a young baby she contracted polio and remained paralyzed in both lower limbs. In 1964 she began practicing sports at the Israel Sports Center for the Disabled and was active in swimming, athletics and wheelchair basketball. In 1966 she participated for the first time in an international competition. She won 5 medals in the Stoke Mandeville Games that year, and in 1968 won 5 medals and gained a world record during the 1968 Summer Paralympics. Ora Carew
Ora Carew (born Ora Whytock; April 19, 1891 – October 26, 1955), was an American silent film actress. She starred in several films between 1915 and 1925. She was known as one of the Sennett Bathing Beauties. Early life Ora Whytock was born in Salt Lake City, Utah, to James Whytock and Evelyn Carn Whytock (1865–1942). She had an older sister, Evelyn Whytock Lehners (1887–1961), who became a music composer, and a younger brother, Grant Whytock (1894–1981), who became a film editor. Ora's birth year has been listed as 1893, on her death certificate and is also what her grave says, but Utah birth index and the 1900 census indicate 1891. She was educated by private tutors and at Roland Hall Seminary. After her father died on June 19, 1896, her mother moved with her three children to California. Ora Marion Collard (September 17, 1902–April 11, 1961) was an American businessman and politician. Collard was born in Norris City, Illinois. In 1904, Collard moved with his family to Herrin, Illinois, where he went to the Herrin public schools. He owned the Collard Heating and Air Conditioning Company in Herrin. Ora Graves (July 26, 1896 – September 28, 1961) was a sailor in the United States Navy who received the Medal of Honor for his actions during World War I. Biography Graves was born in Las Animas, Colorado, on July 26, 1896. He died September 28, 1961, and is buried in Fort Rosecrans National Cemetery San Diego, California. Ora Lassila is a Finnish computer scientist who lives in the U.S. and works as a technologist at Amazon Web Services. He has been conducting research into the Semantic Web since 1996, and was co-author, with Tim Berners-Lee and James Hendler, of the article "The Semantic Web" which appeared in Scientific American in 2001, now the most cited paper in the Semantic Web area. His early work in this area included proposing the original RDF Specification with Ralph R. Swick and he has been an elected member of the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) Advisory Board since 1998. Ora Namir ( he, אורה נמיר, 1 September 1930 – 7 July 2019) was an Israeli politician and diplomat who served as a member of the Knesset from 1974 until 1996, as well as holding the posts of Minister of the Environment and Minister of Labour and Social Welfare during the 1990s.
