Opishnia Settlement Hromada
Opishnia ( uk, Опішня, russian: Опошня) is an urban-type settlement in Poltava Raion of Poltava Oblast in Ukraine. It is located on the right bank of the Vorskla, a tributary of the Dnieper. Opishnia hosts the administration of Opishnia settlement hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. Population: Until 18 July 2020, Opishnia belonged to Zinkiv Raion. The raion was abolished in July 2020 as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, which reduced the number of raions of Poltava Oblast to four. The area of Zinkiv Raion was merged into Poltava Raion. Economy Transportation The closest railway station is in Poltava, approximately south. The settlement has access to highway H12 connecting Poltava and Sumy. Poltava Oblast ( uk, Полта́вська о́бласть, translit=Poltavska oblast; also referred to as Poltavshchyna – uk, Полта́вщина, literally 'Poltava Country') is an oblast (province) of central Ukraine. Hromada
A hromada ( uk, територіальна громада, lit=territorial community, translit=terytorialna hromada) is a basic unit of administrative division in Ukraine, similar to a municipality. It was established by the Government of Ukraine on 12 June 2020. Similar terms exist in Poland (''gromada'') and in Belarus (''hramada''). The literal translation of this term is "community", similarly to the terms used in western European states, such as Germany ('' Gemeinde''), France (''commune'') and Italy (''comune''). Myrhorod ( uk, Ми́ргород, ) is a city in the Poltava Oblast (province) of central Ukraine. Lubny
Lubny ( uk, Лубни́, ), is a city in Poltava Oblast (province) of central Ukraine. Serving as the administrative center of Lubny Raion (district), the city itself is administratively incorporated as a city of oblast significance and does not belong to the raion. Population: History Lubny is reputed to be one of the oldest cities in Ukraine, allegedly founded in 988 by knyaz (prince) Vladimir the Great (Volodymyr) of Kyiv. The first written record, however, dates from 1107. Initially, it was a small wooden fortress above the Sula River. H12 is an important Ukraine national highway ( H-highway) in Sumy and Poltava Oblasts, Ukraine, running mainly north–south, and connecting Sumy with Poltava in a more or less straight line. It begins in Sumy at Bandera Street ( Highway H07/ Highway P61) and Illinska Street, and travels straight through central Sumy.
