Onna
Onna is a Local Government Area in Akwa Ibom State, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. Its name comes from an acronym of the names of the four predominant clans in the area: Oniong, Nnung Ndem, Awa Afaha and Awa. Onna has a population of about 495,000 people worldwide. Onna is bounded by the east by Ibeno, west by mpat enin and eastern Obolo and south by the Atlantic ocean. Because of its proximity to the Atlantic Ocean, the people of Onna are predominantly fishermen and farmers. Onna is one of the host to exon Mobil Nigeria, oil exploration is ongoing in communities such as Ukpana, Akpabom, Ikot Abasi, Ikwe etc. Onna play host to the Utapette, Atabrikang and Ibioto oil fields The oil rich local government is also home to a number of highly intellectual population who have made numerous impact in the community, nationwide and in the diasporas. Onna (L'Aquila)
Onna is a ''frazione'' of L'Aquila in the Abruzzo, region of central Italy. It is situated in the Apennine Mountain Range, above sea level. The population is about 300 people. Early history The area has been inhabited for approximately 1,000 years. It is probable that initially it did not have a defined city structure. During the Roman conquest, the fertility of the area guaranteed food production for Rome. The earliest record of Onna is in 1178 during the time of Pope Clement III, in Villa Unda. Onna is mentioned again by Pope Innocent III in 1204. Aside from these two records, the early history of the area is a mystery. There existed a "grancia" (a type of agricultural company detached from the convent) run by the Cistercian monks. Modern history A girl was killed by the German occupation forces on 2 June 1944. Onna, Okinawa
is a List of villages in Japan, village located in Kunigami District, Okinawa, Kunigami District, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. As of 2013, the village had an estimated population of 10,443 and a population density of 210 persons per km². The total area is . Nursling is a village in Hampshire, England, situated in the parish of Nursling and Rownhams, about north-west of the city of Southampton. Formerly called Nhutscelle (in an 8th-century life of Saint Boniface), then Nutsall, Nutshalling or Nutshullyng until the mid-19th century, it has now been absorbed into the suburbs of Southampton, although it is not officially part of the city (remaining part of the Test Valley borough). Onna White (March 24, 1922 – April 8, 2005) was a Canadian choreographer and dancer, nominated for eight Tony Awards. Early life and career Born in Inverness, Nova Scotia, White began taking dance lessons at the age of twelve, and eventually her studies took her to the San Francisco Ballet, where she danced in the first full-length U.S. production of ''The Nutcracker''. Her first Broadway performance was in ''Finian's Rainbow'' in 1947.
