Only The Valiant (1940 Film)
''Only the Valiant'' or ''The Charge of the Brave'' (Spanish:''La carga de los valientes'') is a 1940 Argentine historical film, historical drama film directed by Adelqui Migliar and starring Santiago Arrieta, Domingo Sapelli and Anita Jordán. The film was one of the most expensive productions made in Argentina. It portrays the 1827 defence of Carmen de Patagones against Brazilian forces during the Cisplatine War.Plazaola p.138 The film's sets were designed by the art director Ralph Pappier. Eva Perón, the future wife of dictator Juan Perón, had a supporting actor, supporting part in the film. Adelqui Migliar
Adelqui Migliar (5 August 1891 – 6 August 1956), also known as Adelqui Millar, was a Chilean film actor, director, writer and producer. He appeared in 31 silent films between 1916 and 1928. He also directed 24 films between 1922 and 1954. He was born in Concepción, Chile, and lived and worked in the Netherlands, the United Kingdom and the United States. He died in Santiago, Chile. Juan Perón
Juan Domingo Perón (, , ; 8 October 1895 – 1 July 1974) was an Argentine Army general and politician. After serving in several government positions, including Minister of Labour and Vice President of a military dictatorship, he was elected President of Argentina three times, serving from June 1946 to September 1955, when he was overthrown by the '' Revolución Libertadora'', and then from October 1973 until his death in July 1974.
