Only Croatia – Movement for Croatia ( hr, Jedino Hrvatska – Pokret za Hrvatsku) is a defunct political party in Croatia, formed in 2007. The party was established by disaffected founding members of the HDZ, the Croatian Bloc (which extinguished itself the following year), and by a group of Croatian generals, including Marinko Krešić and Ljubo Ćesić Rojs, who were deeply worried about perceived foreign economic and political threats to the Croatian State. The party opposes foreign ownership of strategic Croatian resources and real-estate, including the media and key industries. Likewise, the party is against Croatian membership of NATO and especially the European Union. Only Croatia does not recognise the current borders of the Republic of Croatia, delineated by the Communists in 1943 and imposed in 1945, as being either its historic or natural borders. Sabor
The Croatian Parliament ( hr, Hrvatski sabor) or the Sabor is the unicameral legislature of the Republic of Croatia. Under the terms of the Croatian Constitution, the Sabor represents the people and is vested with legislative power. The Sabor is composed of 151 members elected to a four-year term on the basis of direct, universal and equal suffrage by secret ballot. Seats are allocated according to the Croatian Parliament electoral districts: 140 members of the parliament are elected in multi-seat constituencies. An additional three seats are reserved for the diaspora and Croats in Bosnia and Herzegovina, while national minorities have eight places reserved in parliament. Far-right Politics In Croatia
Far-right politics in Croatia refers to any manifestation of far-right politics in the Republic of Croatia. Individuals and groups in Croatia that employ far-right politics are most often associated with the historical Ustaše movement, hence they have connections to Neo-Nazism and neo-fascism. That World War II political movement was an extremist organization at the time supported by the Nazism, German Nazis and the Italian fascism, Italian Fascists. The association with the Ustaše has been called "Neo-Ustashism" by Slavko Goldstein. The common perception is that the far right includes people who were either involved with the Independent State of Croatia (NDH) during World War II; sympathizers; and people who utilise their symbolism. European Parliament elections were held in Croatia for the first time on 14 April 2013 to elect twelve Members of the European Parliament. The members served the remainder of the Parliament's 2009–2014 term after Croatia entered the European Union on 1 July 2013. The country formed a single constituency, with members elected by proportional representation using open lists. Despite opinion polling predicting a decisive victory of the governing centre left SDP-led coalition, the centre right HDZ-led coalition won a razor-thin plurality of the vote. 2011 Croatian Parliamentary Election
Parliamentary elections were held in Croatia on Sunday, 4 December 2011 to elect 151 members to the Croatian Parliament. They were the sixth parliamentary election in Croatia since independence. Elections were held in 10 electoral districts inside Croatia (each electing 14 members of parliament), one electoral district for Croatian citizens living abroad (3 members of parliament), and one electoral district for national minorities (8 members of parliament). Candidate lists have to win more than 5% of the votes in an electoral district in order to be represented in Parliament. The Croatian Parliament electoral districts ( hr, izborne jedinice) are the special territorial subdivision of Croatia used for the country's parliamentary elections. Croatia has twelve electoral districts. Ten of these are geographical districts within Croatia, each providing fourteen members of Croatian Parliament. District XI is for Croatian citizens living abroad, with three members of parliament (until 2011, it elected a maximum twelve members of parliament, depending on turnout). District XII is for national minorities, providing eight members of parliament.
