One Too Many (1951 Film)
''One Too Many'' is a 1951 film produced by Kroger Babb and directed by Erle C. Kenton. The film tells the story of Helen Mason ( Ruth Warrick), who is slowly revealed during the course of the film to be an alcoholic, destroying her career as a concert pianist and her family in the process. Production The film's story author and producer was Kroger Babb, who worked primarily on making films about fringe subjects, such as the anti-drug film ''She Shoulda Said No'' (1949) and a film about the life of Jesus Christ titled '' The Lawton Story'' (1949). Production began on the film on August 1950. Release ''One Too Many'' had it's world premiere on January 1, 1951 at the Murphy Theatre in Wilmington, Ohio. The manager of the theatre, Joe R. Murphy stated that the film had to be shown on January 1, at 12:01 a am as the film carries a 1951 copyright, and cannot be released before January 1. ''One Too Many'' is a 1916 American silent film starring Oliver Hardy. Plot Plump wakes with a hangover. He finds a note under the door from his uncle saying he will visit him "and his wife and baby" at 2 o'clock. It is 11am and he has no wife and baby. He is staying in a hotel. The bellboy is trying to take a heavy trunk upstairs. He gives the bellboy $50 to find him a baby. He finds a toddler in another room and is then asked to find a wife. Plump's friend Roy enters the room with the child and moves the child. The bellboy bribes the janitor's wife to play Plump's wife. He goes outside and hires a baby from a woman. Meanwhile Plump finds the first baby and takes it back. The bellboy is collecting children including a little black girl. The first child's mother returns and finds her child with Plump. One 2 Many
One 2 Many was a short-lived Norwegian-Swedish band consisting of Dag Kolsrud (keyboard instrument, keyboards), Camilla Griehsel (singing, vocals) and Jan Gisle Ytterdal (guitar). Formed in 1987, the band released their first and only album ''Mirror'' on A&M Records in 1988. The Scandinavian pop track "Downtown", was an immediate success in Europe, reaching #1 for five weeks in Norway. In the United States, US the song also a success, reaching #37 on the Billboard Hot 100, ''Billboard'' Hot 100, #18 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary, AC chart and #30 on the Hot Dance Club Songs, Dance chart in May 1989.
