ABC (Australian TV Channel)
ABC TV, formerly known as ABC1, is an Australian national public television network. It is owned and operated by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation, and is the flagship ABC Television network. The headquarters of the ABC TV channel and the ABC are in Ultimo, an inner-city suburb of Sydney, New South Wales. The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is the national broadcaster of Australia. It is principally funded by direct grants from the Australian Government and is administered by a government-appointed board. Mary-Anne Fahey (born 19 August 1955 as Mary-Anne Waterman) is an Australian actress, comedian and writer. Biography Fahey has starred in and written for numerous comedy programs including ''The Comedy Company'', ''Kittson Fahey'' (the first Australian female-only sketch comedy program), ''Get a Life'' and ''One Size Fits All''. Denise Margaret Scott (born 24 April 1955) is an Australian stand-up comedian, actor, television and radio presenter. Career Scott has appeared frequently on Australian television since her regular slot on ABC TV's ''The Big Gig'' in 1990, and a weekly segment on ''Tonight Live with Steve Vizard''. Scott was one of the most frequent guests on musical quiz show '' Spicks and Specks'', and appeared several times on '' The Glass House'' and ''Good News Week''. Rodney Edward Quantock (born 1948) is an Australian stand-up comedian and writer. Quantock is known for his pioneering style of stand-up comedy, which is often politically driven, as well as being the face of bed retailer Capt'n Snooze for many years. Described as "a living Melbourne treasure" by ''The Age'' newspaper, he has also achieved great prominence with his involvement in political activism and social justice and as a speaker at many public and corporate events.
