One More Train To Rob
''One More Train to Rob'' is a 1971 American comedy western film directed by Andrew McLaglen, starring George Peppard, and featuring Diana Muldaur, John Vernon and France Nuyen. The shooting title for the film was ''Hark''. Plot Set in the Old West, the story is about train-robber Harker Fleet ( Peppard), who is sent to prison for assaulting a sheriff and his deputy while trying to escape a forced marriage, set up by his former partner, Timothy Xavier Nolan (John Vernon). Fleet serves his time, but gets out of prison early, for good behavior. Once he is released from prison, he travels to the town of Calador, intending to settle the score with Nolan for railroading him and stealing his woman, Katy (Diana Muldaur). Andrew Victor McLaglen (July 28, 1920 – August 30, 2014) was a British-born American film and television director, known for Westerns and adventure films, often starring John Wayne or James Stewart. According to one obituary "His career in many ways mirrored that of Ted Post, another inexhaustible director of series television and undemanding movies: reliable rather than stylish, both were nimble soldiers of fortune renowned for bringing work in on time and on budget... Robert Donner (April 27, 1931 – June 8, 2006) was an American television and film actor. Early life and career Donner was born in New York City and raised in New Jersey, Michigan and Texas. He spent four years in the United States Navy and was stationed in California. After he completed his military service, he settled in the Los Angeles area. Career Donner's first role was an uncredited part in the 1959 John Wayne Western '' Rio Bravo''; he also appeared in the sequels (which formed a loose trilogy), ''El Dorado'' and ''Rio Lobo''. He also appeared in ''Chisum'', '' The Undefeated'', and ''The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance''. Hal Brett Needham (March 6, 1931 – October 25, 2013) was an American stuntman, film director, actor, writer, and NASCAR team owner. He is best known for his frequent collaborations with actor Burt Reynolds, usually in films involving fast cars, such as ''Smokey and the Bandit'' (1977), '' Hooper'' (1978), ''The Cannonball Run'' (1981) and ''Stroker Ace'' (1983). In his later years, Needham moved out of stunt work, and focused his energy on the world land speed record project. Tom Harmon (July 20, 1937 – June 14, 1995), credited as Timothy Scott or Tim Scott, was an American actor. Personal life Scott was born in Detroit, Michigan, lived in New Mexico, and moved to Los Angeles, California, in 1959 for his acting career. He had a wife Donna Leigh Scott, one stepdaughter Marisa Scott-Windom, and two sons, Scott Harmon and Dean Swope. Scott co-founded the Met Theatre with James Gammon in Los Angeles.
