One More Chance (Bloc Party Song)
"One More Chance" is a 2009 single by British band Bloc Party. It was released on 10 August 2009. In interviews Kele Okereke has stated that there was still some creative energy left after making ''Intimacy'' and this was the reasoning behind making "One More Chance". The song was released in order to coincide with the band's 'Bloctober' tour. The song received its first radio play on 18 June 2009 on Zane Lowe's BBC Radio 1 show. The music video for the song was first released publicly on the official MTV site in July 2009. The single debuted at 15 in the UK Singles Chart after its first week of release. Bloc Party
Bloc Party are an English Rock music, rock band, composed of Kele Okereke (lead vocals, rhythm guitar, keyboards, sampler), Russell Lissack (lead guitar, keyboards), Justin Harris (bass guitar, keyboards, saxophones, backing vocals) and Louise Bartle (drums, percussion). Former members Matt Tong and Gordon Moakes left the band in 2013 and 2015 respectively. Their brand of music, whilst rooted in rock, retains elements of other genres such as electronica and house music. The band was formed at the 1999 Reading and Leeds Festivals, Reading Festival by Okereke and Lissack. They went through a variety of names before settling on Bloc Party in 2003. Moakes joined the band after answering an advert in ''NME'' magazine, while Tong was picked via an audition. Holy Fuck is a Canadian electronica band from Toronto. They were a part of Dependent Music, a music label and artist collective that began in Yarmouth, Nova Scotia in 2004 until its closing. They were then a part of the Young Turks label and in 2016 they signed with Innovative Leisure. The band uses live instrumentation and miscellaneous instruments and non-instruments (including a 35 mm film synchronizer, toy keyboards and toy phaser guns) to achieve electronic-sounding effects without the use of laptops or programmed backing tracks.
