One Hour In Wonderland
''One Hour in Wonderland'' is a 1950 television special made by Walt Disney Productions. It was first seen on Christmas Day, 1950, over NBC (4–5 pm in all time zones) for Coca-Cola, and was Walt Disney's first television production. It featured Disney as host, with Bobby Driscoll, Kathryn Beaumont, Edgar Bergen & Charlie McCarthy (who appeared on radio for Coke), and other celebrities who worked with Disney, including the Firehouse Five Plus Two jazz band. This special was actually a promotional program for Disney's upcoming theatrical feature, ''Alice in Wonderland''. Kathryn Beaumont, who voiced Alice, was dressed like her for this television special. This television special was included as a bonus feature on the Masterpiece and Un-Anniversary DVD editions of ''Alice in Wonderland'', as well as the 2011 Blu-ray release and the Exclusive Archive Collection laserdisc box set release. Bill Walsh (producer)
William Crozier Walsh (September 30, 1913 – January 27, 1975) was a film producer, screenwriter and comics writer who primarily worked on live-action films for Walt Disney Productions. He was born in New York City. For his work on ''Mary Poppins'', he shared Academy Award nominations for Best Picture with Walt Disney, and for Best Writing, Screenplay Based on Material from Another Medium with Don DaGradi. He also wrote the ''Mickey Mouse'' comic strip for more than two decades. He died in Los Angeles and was interred in Glendale's Forest Lawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Moroni Olsen
Moroni Olsen (June 27, 1889November 22, 1954) was an American actor. Life and career Olsen was born in Ogden, Utah to Latter-day Saint parents Edward Arenholt Olsen and Martha ( Hoverholst) Olsen, who named him after the Moroni found in the Book of Mormon. His father was Bishop of the Fourth Ward of Ogden. Olsen studied at Weber Stake Academy, the predecessor of Weber State University. He then went to study at the University of Utah, where one of his teachers was Maud May Babcock. During World War I, he sold war bonds for the United States Navy. He also studied and performed in the eastern United States around this time. In 1923, Olsen organized the "Moroni Olsen Players" out of Ogden. They performed at both Ogden's Orpheum Theatre and at various other locations spread from Salt Lake City to Seattle. Magic Mirror (Snow White)
The Magic Mirror is a mystical object that is featured in the story of ''Snow White'', depicted as either a hand mirror or a wall-mounted mirror. Fairy tale The Magic Mirror belongs to the Evil Queen, who constantly asks it – usually in a rhyming phrase – who is the fairest in the land. When the mirror eventually identifies her young stepdaughter Snow White as the fairest, the Queen jealously tries to have her killed, first via her huntsman, then several personal attempts concluding with a poisoned apple. The mirror is key to her plots; it tells her Snow White's location, and after each attempt, she checks with the mirror and is again told that Snow White remains the fairest. At the very end, when Snow White is married, the mirror tells her that the young queen is the most beautiful. Alice is a fictional character and the main protagonist of Lewis Carroll's children's novel ''Alice's Adventures in Wonderland'' (1865) and its sequel, ''Through the Looking-Glass'' (1871). "Jingle Bells" is one of the best-known and most commonly sung American songs in the world. It was written by James Lord Pierpont (1822–1893) and published under the title "The One Horse Open Sleigh" in September 1857. ''Bone Trouble'' (1940) is an animated short produced by Walt Disney, and directed by Jack Kinney. It stars Pluto and Butch the Bulldog, in the latter's first appearance. Plot The short begins with Pluto waking up in his dog house. Pluto is hungry, but the birds have eaten his dish. He hears snoring over the nextdoor fence. Butch the Bulldog, who is sleeping nearby, has a bone which Pluto attempts to steal without awakening him. Pluto has to sneak past trees and tires to reach to the bone. After a couple of attempts, he successfully steals it. Before Pluto can enjoy the bone, an angry Butch shows up, having awoken some time before. A surprised Pluto takes the bone and Butch chases him. Butch chases Pluto through town and into a deserted carnival. The chase continues when they passed by posters of a fat man and a belly dancer.
