''Omni'' is the fourth full-length album from Minus the Bear, released on May 4, 2010. It is their first album to be released on Dangerbird Records and was produced by Grammy Award-winner, Joe Chiccarelli (The White Stripes, My Morning Jacket). On April 27, 2009, the band began recording without the support of a record label. On September 3, 2009, they announced on their Twitter that they were officially done recording. On October 27, 2009, they self-released an EP, ''Into the Mirror'', featuring a brand new track from the forthcoming album titled "Into the Mirror," and a b-side from the recording sessions titled "Broken China." This was released on a 7" vinyl that was sold exclusively at shows, and through various digital outlets on the internet. Omni-Man (Nolan Grayson) is a fictional character in the Image Universe, created by writer Robert Kirkman and artist Cory Walker (with Ryan Ottley) as an expansion of a character concept created by Alan Moore and Chris Sprouse. Omni is an American post-punk band from Atlanta. The band is a duo consisting of Philip Frobos on vocals and bass and Frankie Broyles on guitar, drums, and keyboard. Broyles was previously a member of Deerhunter. Their sound is influenced by post-punk bands like Television, Talking Heads, and Wire, with "mathematical" rhythms and "wiry guitar chords, nervy basslines, and jolting beats." The band's first album, ''Deluxe'', was released in 2016 on Trouble in Mind Records to positive reviews. Their second album, ''Multi-task'', followed in 2017 and received positive reviews as well, including a 7.6 rating from ''Pitchfork''. Robert "Rob" Haigh, also known as Omni Trio, is a British electronic, ambient and experimental musician. Career Early work (1979–1991) At school, Haigh was in a band called Labyrinth playing original material that was influenced by David Bowie and Roxy Music. In the early 1980s Haigh released a series of experimental ambient albums under the names Robert Haigh and Sema – the most notable being ‘Three Seasons Only’ and ‘Notes From Underground’.
