Olympique de Valence (formerly Association Sportive Valence), simply known as Valence, is a French association football club based in the town of Valence, Drôme. It was founded in 2005 following the demise of ASOA Valence and folded in 2014 but was refounded immediately. As of the 2014–15 season, the club's senior team plays in the Promotion d'Honneur Régional Rhône-Alpes, the eighth tier of French football. Fabien Mira (born 25 November 1961) is a French former professional footballer who played as a defender. He is currently the manager of Championnat de France amateur Group A side AS Valence. Stade Georges Pompidou is a stadium in Valence, France. It is currently used for football and rugby union matches. In football, it is the home stadium of ASOA Valence. In rugby, it was home to Valence Sportif before the club's 2010 merger with nearby La Voulte Sportif to form ROC La Voulte-Valence; the merged club maintains its offices at the stadium and uses it as one of its two home grounds.
