Olney Railway Station (England)
Olney was a railway station on the former Bedford to Northampton Line and Stratford-upon-Avon and Midland Junction Railway which served the town of Olney in Buckinghamshire, England. It was situated on a busy section of line between Towcester and Ravenstone Wood junction which saw heavy use by freight services running between Wales and north-east England. The station closed for passengers in 1962 and completely in 1964, the various connecting routes to the line having closed one by one from the 1950s onwards. History Early years Opened by the Bedford & Northampton Railway on 10 June 1872 as part of its line from Bedford to Northampton, the station came under the control of the Midland Railway on 16 July 1885. It was situated at the beginning of a climb, averaging 1 in 80, towards the line's summit near Ravenstone Wood Junction. The station was conveniently located near the centre of Olney. Olney Station (SEPTA Regional Rail)
Olney station is a SEPTA Regional Rail station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Located at Mascher Street and Tabor Road in the Olney neighborhood, it serves the Fox Chase Line. The station has a 61-space parking lot. In FY 2013, it had a weekday average of 158 boardings and 156 alightings. The original station building was constructed in 1906 by the Reading Railroad. It was boarded up in the 1980s, and was demolished in 2008. The Olney Transportation Center, also called Olney Terminal, is a SEPTA bus and subway station in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is located at the intersection of Broad Street and Olney Avenue in the Logan neighborhood of North Philadelphia. It is a major bus terminal as well as the last subway stop on the Broad Street Line before the Fern Rock Transportation Center terminus. Olney Transportation Center is located near Einstein Medical Center Philadelphia, La Salle University, Central High School, and the Philadelphia High School for Girls. The Olney neighborhood is a short distance east of the center; the center's name derives from Olney Avenue, which runs through both Olney and Logan. It is the second-most traveled terminal or transportation center in SEPTA's organization.
