Evangelicalism (), also called evangelical Christianity or evangelical Protestantism, is a worldwide interdenominational movement within Protestant Christianity that affirms the centrality of being "born again", in which an individual experiences personal conversion; the authority of the Bible as God's revelation to humanity (biblical inerrancy); and spreading the Christian message. Old Providence Stone Church
Old Providence Stone Church is a historic church in Spottswood, Virginia in Augusta County, Virginia. A log structure was built in the area by 1743 for early settlers known as the South Mountain Meeting House. In 1746 the congregation split, and the stone building was built in 1793 on land donated by Patrick and Susana Hall. In 1844, Associate Reformed Presbyterian Church of the South. In 1859, a new building was built for services, and a school used the stone building until the American Civil War, and then a store and residence. From 1888 it was used as a high school for the valley until the early 20th century, and then a meeting room until a fire in 1959 destroyed the interior. The building is a simple gable structure with thick walls, about wide and long. Old Stone Church (Lewisburg, West Virginia)
Old Stone Church is a historic Presbyterian church located at Lewisburg, Greenbrier County, West Virginia. History The congregation formed in 1783 practicing in a log building until building two-story, rectangular limestone building in 1796. An addition was built in 1830, making the building 75 feet by 44 feet in size. It features an open cupola belfry. One of its earliest and most well-known reverends was John McElhenney who served the church for over sixty years starting in 1808. During the American Civil War, it served as a hospital for both Union and Confederate forces. The pews of the church were removed so that more cots for soldiers could be brought in. After the Union victory at the Battle of Lewisburg, a trench was built by the side of the church to bury the Confederate dead. The Old Stone Church Site encompasses a location in Leesburg, Virginia that was the site of property of the Methodist church from c. 1770 to 1900. On May 11, 1766, Nicholas Minor, a founder of the new town of Leesburg, deeded a half acre of property to Robert Hamilton, a Methodist convert, for ″four pounds current money of Virginia, for no other use but for a church or meeting house and grave yard.″ The site is the earliest known Methodist-owned church site in America. When Pendleton District was divided in 1826, the church was in Pickens County, South Carolina, Pickens District. When Pickens District was split in 1868, it was in Oconee County, South Carolina. History

In June 1819, the Union Sunday School began meeting on the site of the current church, and on September 19, 1820, fifteen Clevelanders, some ten percent of the then-village's population, signed a charter officially establishing the congregation. It was formally incorporated in 1827 as The First Presbyterian Society, and in 1834 the first church was built out of gray
