Olav Thon (born 29 June 1923) is a Norwegian real estate developer and listed in the ''Forbes'' list of billionaires as the 198th richest person in the world with a net worth of $6 billion as of March 2013. He is Norway's richest person and his Olav Thon Group is Norway's largest private real estate company, with 450 properties, including 60 hotels. As of 12 March 2021, Bloomberg Billionaires Index estimated his net worth at US$6.20 Billion, making him the 437th richest person in the world. His authorized biography, ''Olav Thon: Billionaire in a Parka'', was written by Hallgrim Berg, a Norwegian politician and a folk musician; a translated version was published in English in October 2009. Hallingdal
Hallingdal ( en, Halling Valley) is a valley as well as a traditional district located in the traditional and electoral district Buskerud in Viken county in Norway. It consists of six municipalities: Flå, Nes, Gol, Hemsedal, Ål and Hol. Hallingdal is one of the major valleys of eastern Norway, on an area of 5,830 square kilometers. Hallingdal lies in the northern part of the county of Buskerud. The valley stretches from Gulsvik by Lake Krøderen to the border with Hordaland and Sogn og Fjordane. Central to the geography is relatively flat mountain area which lies above sea level. The valley is V-shaped and is drained by the Hallingdal River which originates in the western parts of Hardangervidda and flows eastwards later southwards through Hallingdal. ''Nettavisen'' is a Norwegian online newspaper, launched in 1996 as the first online-only newspaper in Norway. The current editor is Gunnar Stavrum. As of 2015 it was one of Norway's most popular news websites.
