Oink (2022 Film)
''Oink'' ( nl, Knor) is a 2022 Dutch stop-motion animated comedy film based on the book ''The Revenge of Oink'' by Tosca Menten. It was the first stop motion feature film ever made in the Netherlands. The film premiered on the 72nd edition of the Berlin Film Festival. The film won three Golden Calves for Best Feature Film, Best Director and Best production Design. Making it the first animated film to ever win these awards. it also received the Golden Film, a distinction for Dutch films with more than 100.000 tickets sold during its release. Academy Award For Best Animated Feature
The Academy Award for Best Animated Feature is given each year for animated films. An animated feature is defined by the Academy as a film with a running time of more than 40 minutes in which characters' performances are created using a frame-by-frame technique, a significant number of the major characters are animated, and animation figures in no less than 75 percent of the running time. The Academy Award for Best Animated Feature was first awarded in 2002 for films made in 2001. The entire AMPAS membership has been eligible to choose the winner since the award's inception. If there are sixteen or more films submitted for the category, the winner is voted from a shortlist of five films, which has happened nine times, otherwise there will only be three films on the shortlist. The Golden Film ( nl, Gouden Film) is a film award recognizing domestic box office achievements in the Netherlands. The Golden Film is awarded to films from the Netherlands once they have sold . The award is an initiative by the Netherlands Film Festival and the Netherlands Film Fund to increase media attention for Dutch films. For each awarded film there is one trophy for the film crew and another for the film cast. When the Golden Film was introduced in 2001, it was awarded to films once they had sold .
