Okhramiievychi () is a village in northern Ukraine, in Koriukivka Raion, Chernihiv Oblast. It has a population of 848 people. Volodymyr Ivanovych Barvinok
Barvinok Volodymyr Ivanovych (July 22, 1879 in Ohramyyevychi, Chernihiv oblast, Russian Empire – 1943 in Kiev, Soviet Union) was a Ukrainian historian, theologist, bibliographer, writer, archaeologist, prominent archivist, statesman of the Ukrainian National Republic, honorary citizen of the Chernihiv region, scholar at the Ukrainian Academy of Science, and teacher of Ukrainian culture and history. Early Life Volodymyr Barvinok was born in 1879 at the family country house, which was located in the Ogramyyevychi village in the Chernihiv region. In 1905, Barvinok graduated from the Kyiv Mohyla Academy, which today is called the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy. On the same year, he married Yevheniya Volovik, who was originally from Uman. The Barvinok family lived in the Podil district of Kyiv, at 31 Frunze street. Koriukivka Raion ( uk, Корюківський район) is a raion (district) of Chernihiv Oblast, northern Ukraine. Its administrative centre is located at the town of Koriukivka. Population: On 18 July 2020, as part of the administrative reform of Ukraine, the number of raions of Chernihiv Oblast was reduced to five, and the area of Koriukivka Raion was significantly expanded. Two abolished raions, Snovsk and Sosnytsia Raions, as well as part of Mena Raion, were merged into Koriukivka Raion. Koriukivka Urban Hromada
Koriukivka (, ) is a town in Chernihiv Oblast (province) of Ukraine. It was founded in 1657, over 350 years ago. It is the administrative center of Koriukivka Raion. It hosts the administration of Koriukivka urban hromada, one of the hromadas of Ukraine. The population in 2021 is estimated to be History During the reign of the Hetman Bohdan Khmelnytsky in 1657, who was in search of free land for the nobility class and the settlers from the Right-Bank of Ukraine. A search headed by the Cossack Omel'yanov Karukoyu found the eventual site and deemed it fit for a small settlement due to the thick protection of the surrounding forests. The city later suffered heavy losses during the Second World War and is a site of the World War II massacre. Koriukivka was almost totally burned, the population that lived there was exterminated with the Germans killing around 6,700 people and burning 1,290 homes.
