Ohio State Route 216
State Route 216 (SR 216) is a north–south state highway in the southeastern quadrant of the U.S. state of Ohio. The southern terminus of SR 216 is at a three-way stop T-intersection with SR 78 in Murray City. SR 216's northern terminus is also at a three-way stop T-intersection, this time with SR 93 in New Straitsville. Established in the mid-1920s, SR 216 traverses heavily wooded terrain as it connects the villages of Murray City and New Straitsville. When it first appeared, SR 216 extended south to Nelsonville and north and east to Shawnee and Corning. Route description SR 216 runs through the far eastern end of Hocking County and the extreme southern end of Perry County. The route is not inclusive as a portion of the National Highway System. State Route 155 (SR 155) is an east–west state highway in the southeastern portion of the U.S. state of Ohio. The highway's western terminus is at SR 93 in Shawnee. At its midpoint in Hemlock the highway is known as Sanders Street. The highway’s eastern terminus is at a four-way stop intersection with SR 13 in Corning. Established in the late 1920s, SR 155 serves as a connector route in southern Perry County. State Route 595 (SR 595) is a north–south state highway in southeastern Ohio, a U.S. state. The route's southern terminus is at a diamond interchange with the U.S. Route 33 (US 33) expressway approximately southeast of Logan. Its northern terminus is at a T-intersection with SR 216 in New Straitsville, just two blocks southeast of SR 216's northern terminus at SR 93. Murray City, Ohio
Murray City is a village in Hocking County, Ohio, United States. The population was 449 at the 2010 census. History Murray City was platted in 1873 and incorporated in 1891. It was named for John Murray Brown, the original owner of the town site. John Murray Brown was an early settler who bought up the land to lay out the town. He built a hotel in 1875 for the local workers but sold his interests in the community a few years later to a large coal company.
