''Oh Schuks I'm Gatvol!'' is a 2004 South African comedy film written, produced, and directed by Leon Schuster. He also stars in the film alongside Alfred Ntombela, Gerry the Clown, Bill Flynn and Al Debbo. The film's initial budget was R2,000,000, but an extra R6,000 was spent for the extras on board the aeroplane. The film grossed R30,000,000 overall in South Africa and with an additional 4 million worldwide. The film was released on DVD and VHS in 2004 by Ster-Kinekor Home Entertainment. Synopsis After growing fed up with crime in South Africa, Schuks decides to move to Australia with his friend Alf. Also introduced is Samoosa Woestyn, a Schuster version of Saddam Hussein, (ruler of fictional Afkaq, which parodies Iraq) who plans to kill U.S. President (at the time George W. Leon Ernest "Schuks" Schuster (born 21 May 1951) is a South African filmmaker, comedian, actor, prankster and singer. Early life Schuster was drawn to the filmmaking process at an early age. As a child he and his brother would play practical jokes on his family and film it. He explained, in a 2010 interview about his early life in Bloemfontein, “I remember running down the aisle of the Ritz Theatre, playing cowboys & crooks, which was all the rage at the time. Alfred Ntombela (born 3 April 1972) is a South African actor, known for his role in South African candid genre films alongside Leon Schuster, his fast-paced Joker-like laugh and for his small stature as an adult. He became renowned for his roles in ''Sweet 'n Short'' and ''Mama Jack''. William Flynn (13 December 1948 – 11 July 2007) was a South African actor and comedian, perhaps best known for playing Tjokkie. Early life Flynn was born William Frederick Flynn in Cape Town and matriculated from Plumstead High School. He went to the UCT drama school and was a founder member of the Space theatre in Cape Town. Al (Alec) Debbo (22 June 1924 – 13 July 2011) was a South African comedian, singer and actor. As one of the most famous artists of his generation he made an enormous contribution to Afrikaner music and culture.
