Max Giese (1879 – 1935) was a German engineer and inventor. Life In 1927, the disadvantages of using a conventional pouring tower led engineers Max Giese and Fritz Hell to the idea of pumping concrete from a concrete mixer directly to the point of use. In 1928, Giese invented the concrete pump. The reduced water content in the concrete during the pumping process not only saves energy but also allows the material to harden faster and stronger. Gravel or crushed stone were used. It was possible to pump to a height of 38 meters and at a distance of 120 meters. Frank Duval (born 22 November 1940, Berlin, as Frank Uwe Patz) is a German composer, conductor, record producer, songwriter and singer. Life Born into a family of artists, Duval studied as an actor and dancer, and also sang with his sister, Maria. By the 1960s, Duval was composing music, both orchestral and pop, and his first soundtrack, for an episode of the German serial ''Tatort'', was broadcast in 1977. Peter Frankenfeld (born ''Willi Julius August Frankenfeldt'' on 31 May 1913 in Berlin – 4 January 1979 in Hamburg) was a German comedian, radio and television personality. After World War II he became an interpreter with the U.S. military government. In 1948 he went into broadcasting. He pioneered quiz programs on West German radio and television, becoming the country's best-known programme host and entertainer.
