Luca Novac
Luca Novac (15 September 1941 – 15 February 2021) was a Romanian musician. Biography Novac was born into a family of musicians in the village of Var in Severin County in the Kingdom of Romania. He played multiple instruments, such as the clarinet, bagpipe, saxophone, and ocarina, but his favorite was the tárogató. He joined the ''Orchestrei Populare de Stat ”Lazăr Cernescu”'', which was located in Caransebeș, in 1964. There, he made his first recordings on radio and television. Ilie Sârbu
Ilie Sârbu (born 26 May 1950) is a Romanian theologian, economist and politician. A member of the Social Democratic Party (PSD), he sat in the Romanian Senate from 2004 to 2015, representing Timiș County. In the Adrian Năstase cabinet, he was Agriculture Minister from 2000 until July 2004, and he held the same position in the Emil Boc cabinet between 2008 and 2009. He was Senate President for six weeks in 2008. He and his wife Mariana have a daughter, Daciana Sârbu. She, in turn, is married to Victor Ponta, who served alongside Ilie Sârbu in the Boc cabinet. Caraș-Severin () is a county ( județ) of Romania on the border with Serbia. The majority of its territory lies within the historical region of Banat, with a few northeastern villages considered part of Transylvania. The county seat is Reșița. Banat
Banat (, ; hu, Bánság; sr, Банат, Banat) is a geographical and historical region that straddles Central and Eastern Europe and which is currently divided among three countries: the eastern part lies in western Romania (the counties of Timiș, Caraș-Severin, Arad south of the Mureș river, and the western part of Mehedinți); the western part of Banat is in northeastern Serbia (mostly included in Vojvodina, except for a small part included in the Belgrade Region); and a small northern part lies within southeastern Hungary (Csongrád-Csanád County).
