Oberreichenbach, Baden-Württemberg
Oberreichenbach is a municipality in the district of Calw in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. History The villages of Oberreichenbach and Oberkollbach were donated in 1303 by the to Hirsau Abbey. 300 years later, the nearby village of Igelsloch became a possession of the Duchy of Württemberg when it purchased the town of Bad Liebenzell. The village of Würzbach also became a possession of Württemberg when it acquired Zavelstein Castle in the early 14th century. In 1807, Oberreichenbach and Oberkollbach were assigned by the government of the Kingdom of Württemberg to , and Igelsloch to in 1809. When these districts were dissolved in 1938, Oberreichenbach, Oberkollbach, Igelsloch, and Würzbach were all assigned to Landkreis Calw. With the exception of Oberkollbach, which grew substantially in the 1960s and 1970s, there was not much development in the modern municipal area after World War II. Weißenhorn is a town in the district of Neu-Ulm in Bavaria. Weißenhorn is located about 22 km southeast of Ulm. History Archaeologic finds prove that the area of Weißenhorn was once a settlement of the Alamanni. Also Roman artifacts and artifacts from the Stone Age have been found. Weißenhorn was first mentioned in 1160 as ''villa Wizzenhorn''. Starting from the thirteenth century Weißenhorn was seat of a line from the aristocratic house of the Neuffen. Birstein is a municipality on the northeastern edge of the Main-Kinzig-Kreis in Hesse, Germany with approximately 6,600 inhabitants. It was the home of the former principality of Isenburg-Birstein. Geography Location The town lies at the southern base of the Vogelsberg Mountains. For this reason, and because of the natural beauty of its setting, it is known as the "Pearl of the Vogelsberg". Birstein proper has two sections. The northern part, uphill from the palace, is known as the "Oberberg", while the southern part, where most of the shops and commercial establishments are located, is called the "Unterberg". Brand-Erbisdorf () is a small town in the district of Mittelsachsen, in Saxony, Germany. It is situated 5 km south of Freiberg. As of 2020, the town has a population of 9,145. History The town is first mentioned in 1209 as ''Erlwinesberc'', although it is suggested that it was founded earlier, in the middle of the 12th century. The long tradition of silver mining around the town came to an end in the beginning of the 20th century. It was only after 1945 that the mining industry reappeared to a limited extent, before finally closing in 1968. From 1900 onwards, various other industries began to take hold in the town, slowly replacing mining as the primary industry. Of these were most notably the wood industry originating from the Ore Mountains and the "Elite-Werke".
