Oakwood School is a private, non-sectarian college preparatory school in the south Silicon Valley community of Morgan Hill, in Santa Clara County, California. History Oakwood was founded in 1998 as the ''Morgan Hill Country School''. Michelle Riches Helvey and her husband Ted Helvey purchased the school and reestablished the school as Oakwood School. In 2005, the high school grades began and in 2009, Oakwood graduated its first senior class. Oakwood Friends School is a college preparatory school located at 22 Spackenkill Road in Poughkeepsie, New York, United States. With roots going back to Nine Partners Boarding School, founded in 1796, it is the oldest co-educational boarding and day school in New York state. Oakwood High School is part of the Oakwood City School District, Montgomery County, Ohio. The school is located in Oakwood, Ohio, at 1200 Far Hills Ave., and serves more than 690 students. The school mascot is the Lumberjacks, though female teams for the school are usually referred to as the "Lumberjills" or "Jills". Oakwood was named "A National School of Excellence" by the U.S. Department of Education in 1991.
