Hugh O'Bryant
Hugh Donaldson O'Bryant (1813–1883) was the first mayor of Portland, Oregon, United States, serving from 1851–1852. He later served as the President of the Oregon Territory’ Council chamber of the legislature, and was a member of Washington Territory’s legislature. Early life Hugh O’Bryant was born in 1813 in Franklin County, Georgia, to a missionary father. There he was raised among the Cherokee Indians due to his father’s missionary work. Hugh later moved to Arkansas where in early 1843 he set out for the Oregon Country. He arrived at Oregon City, Oregon, in October 1843 and set up shop as a merchant. Oregon After two years in Oregon City O’Bryant moved across the Willamette River to Portland, Oregon, where he remained until 1852. In 1847, he volunteered to fight in the Cayuse War after the Whitman massacre. Jimmy O'Bryant
J. A. "Jimmy" O'Bryant (c. 1896 – June 24, 1928) was an American jazz clarinetist. Career O'Bryant played with the Tennessee Ten in 1920 and 1921, then in a group with Jelly Roll Morton and W. C. Handy in 1923. In 1924, he played with King Oliver. From 1923 to 1926, he recorded extensively with Lovie Austin's Blues Serenaders, and also did sessions with his own Washboard Band. His entire output as a leader was reissued on two compact discs by RST Records in 2000 and 2001. Patrick Fitzgerald O'Bryant (born June 20, 1986) is an American-Central African former professional basketball player. The , center was selected out of Bradley University by the Golden State Warriors with the 9th overall pick in the 2006 NBA draft. O'Bryan McCoy Burnette II, known by his stage name O’Bryan (born December 5, 1961), is an American musician, singer, songwriter, record producer, and multi-instrumentalist. Early life O'Bryan McCoy Burnette II began playing the piano at 6 years old and then began singing in the church and at local talent shows. In 1974, he and his family moved to Santa Ana, California.
