O.J. Murdock
Orenthal James Murdock (February 15, 1987 – July 30, 2012) was an American professional football wide receiver. Early life Murdock, an alumnus of Middleton High School in Tampa, Florida, was known for his ability at track and field and football. He was ranked a 4 star recruit and the 11th best wide receiver in the country by 247Sports, whilst simultaneously winning a title in a state track and field final. He was expected to commit to Florida to play both sports, but chose South Carolina instead. College career Murdock " redshirted" his first season at South Carolina. He then played just 4 games with 1 reception in the 2006 season before being arrested for shoplifting in Tampa, and being suspended indefinitely from the team. Murdock then transferred to Pearl River Community College, but he broke his collarbone. He was then offered a scholarship from Marshall but he did not meet the academic requirements. An athletic scholarship is a form of scholarship to attend a college or university or a private high school awarded to an individual based predominantly on his or her ability to play in a sport. Athletic scholarships are common in the United States and to a certain extent in Canada, but in the vast majority of countries in the world they are rare or non-existent. United States Overview In the United States, athletic scholarships are for team sports such as American football and basketball. There are full-ride scholarships for individual sports such as swimming, track or tennis for high performing athletes but most schools give partial scholarships in these sports. Kenny McKinley
Kendrick L. McKinley (January 31, 1987 – September 20, 2010) was an American football wide receiver for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He was selected by the Broncos in the fifth round of the 2009 NFL Draft. He played college football at South Carolina. Early years Born in Mableton, Georgia, he graduated from South Cobb High School in Austell in 2005. As a quarterback during his senior year, he passed for 1,470 yards and 16 touchdowns and rushed for 750 yards while scoring 12 touchdowns. He was rated the 29th-best player in the state of Georgia and the 54th-best athlete in the country by Rivals.com. Mike Munchak
Michael Anthony Munchak (born March 5, 1960) is an American professional football coach and former player. A graduate of Penn State, Munchak played left guard for the Houston Oilers from 1982 until 1993 and was a nine-time selection to the Pro Bowl. He was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2001. After his retirement, Munchak continued his association with the Houston franchise by becoming an assistant coach. He joined the staff in 1994 as an offensive assistant and quality control coach and stayed with the franchise after it moved to Tennessee and became known as the Tennessee Titans, eventually becoming its offensive line coach in 1997 and serving in that position for 14 years.
