O-zone
O-Zone was a Moldovan Eurodance group that was active from 1999 to 2019. Originating in 1998 as a duo consisting of Dan Bălan and Petru Jelihovschi before the latter's departure, their official trio lineup in 1999 consisted of Dan Bălan, Radu Sîrbu, and Arsenie Todiraș. The group gained global popularity with their song " Dragostea Din Tei" and their subsequent album '' DiscO-Zone''. The group re-united in 2017 for two concerts in Chișinău and Bucharest and in 2019 for one concert in Bucharest. History 1998–2001: Formation and early years O-Zone first formed as a duo of Dan Bălan and Petru Jelihovschi in 1998. They released their first album, '' Dar, Unde Ești...'', in 1999. However, Jelihovschi had not intended to make music his career, so he split from Bălan. Undaunted, Bălan held open auditions for new band members. DiscO-Zone
''DiscO-Zone'' is the third and final album by the Moldovan band O-Zone. It was first released on June 6, 2004, in multiple countries throughout Europe. Produced by the band, the album features their hit singles " Dragostea Din Tei (Words of Love)" and " Despre Tine (About You)". It was a commercial success in many European countries, particularly in Portugal where it hit number one for eight consecutive weeks and was in the top 30 for 26 weeks, and it also reached the top ten in Wallonia, Belgium, Poland, Norway, Switzerland, and Finland. In France, it only reached number 15 but stayed in the top 200 for 36 weeks. In Japan it reached the number one position in its 24th week on the chart. Dragostea Din Tei
"Dragostea Din Tei" (; official English title: "Words of Love", also informally known as "Maya Hi" and "Numa Numa") is a song by Moldovan pop group O-Zone, released as the second single from their third studio album, ''DiscO-Zone'' (2004). The song's title is Romanian for "Love from the linden tree". Arsenie Todiraș
Arsenie Todiraș (sometimes spelt ''Toderaș'', also iterated ''Arseni Ivanovici Todiraș'' after the former Soviet and modern Russian form of the name) (born 22 July 1983 in Chișinău) is a Moldovan singer, best known for representing Moldova in the Eurovision Song Contest 2006. Paula Mitrache (born 14 June 1977), known by the stage name Haiducii (), is a Romanian- Italian singer, model and actress. The Golden Stag Festival ( ro, Cerbul de Aur) is the most popular Romanian song contest and awards, held annually in the town of Braşov, Romania. History The Golden Stag was first held in 1968, but after 1971 it was banned by the Communist leadership. After the fall of Communism, new editions were organised starting from 1992.
