O-Town
O-Town (also known as OTWN or OTOWN) is an American boy band formed from the first season of the reality television series ''Making the Band'' in 2000. As of 2015, the group consists of Erik-Michael Estrada, Trevor Penick, Jacob Underwood, and Dan Miller. The original line up included Ashley Parker Angel. Ikaika Kahoano was originally part of the band but was replaced by Miller after dropping out of the group. After releasing two albums near the end of the boy band fad of the late 1990s and early 2000s, the group disbanded in 2003. The group was originally managed by Lou Pearlman during their first season of ''Making the Band'', but later managed by Mike Cronin and Mike Morin for their debut album and remaining television seasons. ''O-Town'' is the debut studio album released by American boy band O-Town. It was released on January 23, 2001, in the United States by J Records, Trans Continental Records, and BMG. Background The album was first released on January 23, 2001, in the United States. It contained a total of twelve tracks. Around this time, the album was also released in Japan, with two bonus remixes exclusively for the market. In March 2001, the band were asked into the studio to record a song for the ''Dr. Dolittle 2'' soundtrack. The track, " We Fit Together", featured on the soundtrack, released in June 2001. Following the release of the single "All or Nothing", the album was released in Europe and the United Kingdom on August 6, 2001, complete with "We Fit Together" as a bonus track, bringing the number of tracks to thirteen. It was released on March 20, 2001, as the second single from their debut album, ''O-Town'' (2001). The song reached number three in the United States, number five in Canada, and number four in the United Kingdom. In 2006, Irish boy band Westlife recorded a cover version on their seventh studio album, '' The Love Album''—to which was used extensively as background music during the audition stages of ''The X Factor UK''. Ashley Parker Angel
Ashley Parker Angel is an American musician and actor who rose to prominence as a member of the boyband O-Town. After the band dissolved he had a brief solo music career, and was the only former band member who declined to go on a reunion tour with O-Town in 2011. Parker Angel has acted in several Broadway productions since 2007, and most recently appeared in ''Wicked'' as the lead male character Fiyero Tigelaar. Early years Ashley Parker Angel is the child of Darren and Paula Parker. His grandparents are of German and Irish descent. Ashley was named after the fictional character Ashley Wilkes, his mother's favorite character from Margaret Mitchell's 1936 novel ''Gone with the Wind'', and the classic film of the same title. ''Making the Band'' is an ABC/MTV reality television series that exists in separate iterations, each focusing on a specific music act. The Dream Within a Dream Tour was the fourth concert tour by American entertainer Britney Spears. It was launched in support of her third studio album, '' Britney'' (2001).
