Néstor Rossi
Néstor Raúl "Pipo" Rossi (Buenos Aires, 10 May 1925 – 13 June 2007) was an Argentine footballer who played as a midfielder. Playing career Nicknamed "Pipo", he started his career at River Plate, playing from 1945 to 1949, and then again from 1955 to 1958, winning a total of 5 Argentine leagues. In total, Rossi played 155 matches for River Plate scoring 7 goals. From 1949 to 1955 he played in Colombia for Millonarios winning 6 championships. He also had a spell in Argentine Huracán, playing 54 matches. Rossi played for the Argentina national football team during the 1958 FIFA World Cup, as well as in the Copa América in several occasions, winning the 1947 and 1957 editions. Managerial career After retirement, he managed the Spanish Liga team Granada Club de Fútbol and River Plate in Argentina. He had a brief spell as manager of the Argentina national team in 1962. Adolfo Pedernera
Adolfo Alfredo Pedernera (15 November 1918 – 12 May 1995) was an Argentine football player and coach. Nicknamed "El Maestro" ("The Teacher"), he was widely considered to be one of the best world football players in the 1940s and one of the greatest Argentine players of all time. Pedernera was the natural conductor of both the famous River Plate team known as La Máquina ("The Machine"), with whom he won several Argentine and South American titles, and the Millonarios team called Ballet Azul ("Blue Ballet") that won the Small Club World Cup in 1953 among many others Colombian titles. Pedernera's play with the Argentina national team, helped win the Copa América in 1941 and 1946, the latter tournament being named the ''Best Player''. The Small Club World Cup ( es, Pequeña Copa del Mundo) was a football tournament held in Venezuela between 1952 and 1975 (with some journalists considering 1952–57 the period of greatest relevance, and the second period that took place between 1963 and 1975 as of minor relevance). In most of the occasions, the competition was played by four participants from Europe and South America. In the first period, clubs from three countries would win the tournament: Spain, Brazil and Colombia. The National Soccer League was a soccer league in Canada that existed from 1926 to 1997. Teams were primarily based in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
