Nässjö FF is a Swedish football club located in Nässjö in Jönköping County. Background Nässjö Fotbollförening was founded on 1 January 1985 and is today one of Nässjö Municipality's largest sports clubs with about 900 members. The club is particularly active in terms of youth development with approximately 600 active boys and girls. This means that Nässjö FF are one of Småland's largest youth clubs. Since their foundation Nässjö FF has participated mainly in the middle divisions of the Swedish football league system. The club currently plays in Division 2 Nordöstra Götaland which is the fourth tier of Swedish football. They play their home matches at the Skogsvallen in Nässjö. Nässjö () is a Urban areas in Sweden, locality and the seat of Nässjö Municipality, Jönköping County, Sweden with 16,678 inhabitants in 2010. History For many years, Nässjö was a rural village with agriculture as the dominant occupation. The turning point was the construction of the Swedish railways, Swedish railway system. The Södra stambanan, southern main line railway, finished in 1864, passed through Nässjö. Later, other railways were inaugurated, whereby Nässjö, due to its geographical location in the country, became an important junction. Division 3 (Swedish Football)
Division 3 is the fifth level in the league system of Swedish football and comprises 144 Swedish football teams. Division 3 had status as the official third level from 1928 to 1986, but was replaced by Division 2 in 1987. It then had status as the official fourth level until 2005, but was replaced once again as Division 1 was recreated in 2006. The competition There are 144 clubs in Division 3, divided in 12 groups of 12 teams each representing a geographical area.
