Nándor Fazekas
Nándor Fazekas (born 16 October 1976), is a retired Hungarian handball player. He made his international debut on 13 May 1998 against Belgium. Since then he participated on six World Championships (1999, 2003, 2007, 2009, 2011, 2017) and five European Championships (2004, 2006, 2008, 2010, 2012). He was also member of the Hungarian teams which finished fourth at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and the one that finished 4th at the 2012 Summer Olympics His eldest son, Gergő Fazekas is a professional handball player. Kecskemét ( , sk, Kečkemét) is a city with county rights central part Hungary. It is the eighth-largest city in the country, and the county seat of Bács-Kiskun. European Men's Handball Championship
The European Men's Handball Championship is the official competition for senior men's national handball teams of Europe and takes place every two years since 1994, in the even-numbered year between the World Championship. In addition to crowning the European champions, the tournament also serves as a qualifying tournament for the Olympic Games and World Championship. The Hungarian Order of Merit ( hu, Magyar Érdemrend) is the fourth highest State Order of Hungary. Founded in 1991, the order is a revival of an original order founded in 1946 and abolished in 1949. Its origins, however, can be traced to the Order of Merit of the Kingdom of Hungary which existed from 1922 until 1946. In 2011 its official name changed from Order of Merit of the Republic of Hungary to Hungarian Order of Merit in accordance with the new Hungarian Constitution. The Men's EHF Champions League is the most important club handball competition for men's teams in Europe and involves the leading teams from the top European nations. The competition is organised every year by EHF. The official name for the men's competition is the EHF Champions League Men. Magyar Kupa (men's Handball)
Magyar Kupa (English: Hungarian Cup) is the main domestic cup for Hungarian men's team handball clubs, which is organized and supervised by the Hungarian Handball Federation. The competition is held annually, starting in September and concluding in April. The teams play in a one-leg knockout system with a final four tournament in the end. The winner of the Hungarian cup get the right to participate in the next year's EHF Cup Winners' Cup, unless they secure a place in the EHF Champions League. The Nemzeti Bajnokság I ( en, National Championship I, commonly abbreviated NB I) is the premier men's professional handball league in Hungary, administered by the Hungarian Handball Federation. Gergő Fazekas
Gergő Fazekas (born 31 October 2003) is a Hungarian handball player who plays for Wisła Płock and the Hungary national team. Career Club In the 2018/19 season, Gergő played for the first time in the second division in the NB I/B. He was not even 15 years old when he made his debut. In his first senior season, he scored 26 goals in 10 games. In November 2021, it was announced that he would continue his career at Telekom Veszprém from the summer of 2022. They signed a 4-year contract with him. For the first two years of his contract, he is loaned to Polish side Wisła Płock. In Plock in the summer of 2022, during the preparation, he suffered a serious shoulder injury. He had surgery, then made his comeback in February 2023 after 6 months of rehabilitation.
