Nye Mountain is a mountain located in Essex County, New York, named after William B. Nye (''c''.1815–1893), an Adirondack mountain guide. Nye Mountain is part of the Street Range of the Adirondack Mountains; it is flanked to the southwest by Street Mountain. Nye Mountain stands within the watershed of the West Branch of the Ausable River, which drains into Lake Champlain, thence into Canada's Richelieu River, the Saint Lawrence River, and into the Gulf of Saint Lawrence. Nye House
The Nye House, also known as the Louis E. May Museum, is a historic building in Fremont, Nebraska. It was built in 1874 for Theron Nye, who lived here with his wife, née Caroline Colson, and their four children. With History Nye was a farmer and the founding president of the First National Bank of Fremont. He designed the house in the Italianate style. His son, Ray Nye, served as the first mayor of Fremont. He hired Ferry & Clas to redesign the house in the Georgian Revival architectural style; the remodel was accomplished during 1901-12. The Nye Block, also known as the Johnson Landmark Building, was a historic commercial building at Main and Railroad Streets in Johnson, Vermont. Built in 1868, it was an elaborate example of Second Empire architecture, occupying a prominent position in the town center. It was destroyed by an arsonist in 1986. It was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1977. Description and history The Nye Block stood prominently in the center of the village of Johnson, at the southwest corner of Main and Railroad Streets. It was a long -story wood-frame structure, capped with a mansard roof that provided a full third floor in the attic. Nye Beach is a central district in Newport in the U.S. state of Oregon. The Nye Beach historic overlay district is bounded on the north and south sides by Northwest Twelfth Street and Southwest Second Street respectively; on the east side by Hurbert Street and on the west side by the Pacific Ocean.
