Nyara Sabally (born 26 February 2000) is a German professional basketball player for the New York Liberty of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA) and USK Prague of the EuroLeague Women and the Czech women's basketball league. She also serves as assistant coach for Sacramento State. She played college basketball at Oregon. She represented Germany at the 2018 FIBA U18 Women's European Championship and won a gold medal. Playing career College On 7 November 2017, Sabally signed with Oregon. During the 2018–19 season in her freshman year, she sat out the season after suffering a torn ACL during the championship game of the 2018 FIBA U18 Women's European Championship in August of 2018. During the 2019–20 season in her redshirt freshman year, she re-tore her ACL in the summer of 2019 and missed a second consecutive season. In the sport of basketball, there are five players play per team, each assigned to positions. Historically, these players have been assigned, to positions defined by the role they play on the court, from a strategic point of view. The three main positions are guard, forward, and center, with the standard team featuring two guards, two forwards, and a center. Big Sky Conference
The Big Sky Conference (BSC) is a collegiate athletic conference affiliated with the NCAA's Division I with football competing in the Football Championship Subdivision. Member institutions are located in the western United States in the eight states of Arizona, California, Colorado, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, Utah, and Washington. 2015 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship For Women
The 2015 FIBA Europe Under-16 Championship for Women was the 27th edition of the European championship for women's national under-16 basketball teams. A total of 16 teams participated in the competition, which took place in Matosinhos, Portugal, from 13 to 23 August 2015. The champions were Czech Republic, who defeated Portugal 79–55 to secure their first title in this competition, after being losing finalists in the previous two editions. 2022 WNBA Season
The 2022 WNBA season was the 26th season of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). The Chicago Sky were the defending champions. The WNBA's second Commissioner's Cup took place during the regular season, with the Las Vegas Aces winning over the Sky. In the playoffs, the Aces were the first seed and won the Finals over the Connecticut Sun. The regular season was expanded to 36 games per team, is the most games scheduled in a single WNBA season. A 36-game season was originally scheduled for 2020, but the plan was scrapped due to the COVID-19 pandemic. This season also marked the return of an all-series playoffs, which was last used in 2015, instead of the prior schedule of two rounds of single-elimination games and byes for the higher seeded teams. The Register-Guard
''The Register-Guard'' is a daily newspaper in the northwestern United States, published in Eugene, Oregon. It was formed in a 1930 merger of two Eugene papers, the ''Eugene Daily Guard'' and the ''Morning Register''. Chiney Ogwumike
Chinenye "Chiney" Ogwumike (born March 21, 1992) is a Nigerian-American professional basketball player for the Los Angeles Sparks of the Women's National Basketball Association (WNBA). In 2020, she became the first Black woman and the first WNBA player to host a national radio show for ESPN. She was one of the first and youngest commentators ever to be named an NBA analyst for the network covering the NBA, WNBA, and variety of sports, while simultaneously playing in the WNBA. Chiney is a graduate of Stanford University, where she majored in International relations.
