Nyakasura School
Nyakasura School is a mixed, boarding, middle, and high school in Fort Portal, Kabarole District, Western Region of Uganda. Location The school is located in Nyakasura, off the Fort Portal-Bundibugyo Road, approximately , by road, north-west of the central business district of Fort Portal. History The school was founded by Scotsman Ernest Ebohard Calwell, a retired naval officer, in 1926. Calwell was a teacher at King's College Budo when he fell out with the headmaster there. They had differences on what uniform the students should wear. There were two students from Toro Kingdom at Buddo at that time, by the names of Komwiswa and Byara. They convinced Calwell to come and ask the Omukama of Toro for land to set up a school like Buddo in Toro. Omukama Of Toro
The Omukama of Tooro is the name given to the king of Tooro, one of the East African kingdom of Tooro. The kingdom was founded in 1830 by Omukama Kaboyo Olimi l who was the son of Kyebambe lll Nyamutukura, the king of Bunyoro. Since that time, Tooro existed as an independent kingdom until 1967 when President Apollo Milton Obote banned all kingdoms in Uganda. The kingdoms were reinstated as cultural institutions in 1993. The Omukama of Tooro and the other kings play a vital role in Ugandan politics as cultural leaders and agents of peace and stability in their respective kingdoms. Tooro and Bunyoro kingdoms enjoy a close relationship; the names of the kings of Tooro, including the rituals, traditions and practices associated with the monarchy are imitations from Bunyoro. People's Progressive Party (Uganda)
The People's Progressive Party (PPP) is a political party in Uganda founded in 2004 by Jaberi Bidandi Ssali. It had first the name of National Progressive Movement (NPM) before becoming PPP in December 2005. Its motto is "Together in progress", while its symbol is a lamp alight in the centre of the map of Uganda with the inscription PPP within the map. Its colours are red, orange, blue and white. Ideology The birth of PPP was based on the realization of the sectarian and untenable premises on which political organizations in the country had been formed and managed, leading to political instability, balkanization, factionalism and marginalization. Jaberi Bidandi Ssali, also Bidandi Ssali (born 1937), is a veteran Politics of Uganda, Ugandan politician and businessman. He is the founder of the People's Progressive Party (Uganda), People's Progressive Party in Uganda and served as its president. Previously he was Minister for Local Government from 1989 to 2004. Edward Bitanywaine Rugumayo (born 18 December 1934) is a Ugandan politician, diplomat, author, academic and environmentalist. He has previously served as cabinet minister in three Ugandan administrations. From 1979 until 1980, Rugumayo served as the Chairman of the Uganda Legislative Council. Crispus Kiyonga
Crispus Walter Kiyonga (born 1 January 1952), whose first name is sometimes spelled Chrispus, is a Ugandan physician, politician and diplomat, who serves as Uganda's Ambassador to China, based in Beijing. He previously served as the Minister of Defence in the Cabinet of Uganda from 2006 to 2016. Prior to that, he was Minister Without Portfolio in the Office of the President from 2005 to 2006.
