Nwonyo Fishing Festival
The Nwonyo Fishing Festival is a festival celebrated by the Ibi people in Taraba State, Nigeria. The lake is located 5 kilometres North of Ibi community, it is an annually celebrated festival where Ibi and its neighboring community comes together to fish and re-unite. The lake is said to be the largest in west Africa as it run 15 kilometres to the Benue River. The name Nwonyo means Hide-out for huge and dangerous aquatic Animals such as Crocodiles, Snakes, Hippopotamus and many more. Abubakar Barde
Alhaji Abubakar Barde (1938 - 17 June 2002) was Governor of Gongola State, Nigeria between October 1979 and September 1983 during the Nigerian Second Republic. Barde was of Mumuye origin. He was elected governor on the platform of the Great Nigeria Peoples Party (GNPP), holding office from 1979 to September 1983. He inherited a backward and ethnically divided state, but did little to improve the situation. Many projects started by the previous regime were abandoned. He did initiate a project to establish the Gongola Television Corporation (now the Adamawa Television Corporation) in 1982, but this was abandoned when the military took power in December 1983. In the Wukari Local Government Area, he appointed a Tiv leader as chairman, apparently because the Jukun people had not supported him. Nasarawa State

Aliyu Akwe Doma (1 September 1942 – 6 March 2018) was a Nigerian civil servant who became governor of Nasarawa State in May, 2007, standing for the People's Democratic Party (PDP). Birth and education Aliyu Akwe Doma, was born on 1 September 1942 in Doma Local Government Area of Nasarawa State to parents from the Alago Ethnic group. Akwe Doma completed his primary education in Doma Junior Primary School and Lafia Senior Primary School respectively between 1951 and 1957. Adamawa State
Adamawa state () is a state in the North-East geopolitical zone of Nigeria, bordered by Borno to the northwest, Gombe to the west, and Taraba to the southwest, while its eastern border forms part of the national border with Cameroon.
